Amundsen Brygerri IPA on tap at the brewery.

Appearance-pale orange with a touch of gold, three fingered head that almost seeps out of the large glass it was served in. Carbonation seems par for the course.

Smell-pine and spice, oily mix of hop and malt, very aromatic with a nice balance

Taste/Mouthfeel-on the oily side, deep rush of pine and spice, clearly going for the US West Coast style interpretation. Pulls back halfway through, touch of alcohol and fruit flavor, more balanced and subdued than many interpretations and I think it largely works. Finishes fairly clean, last touch of pine and fruit.

Overall-faithful and decent West Coast Style IPA, I enjoyed it. Worth a try.

Dark gold to amber color with a bit of haze. Small head that leaves a single ring of lace that streaks back to the liquid.

Hoppy in a prickly and piney sort of way. Enough malt to create balance.

Starts with a lightly toasty pale to crystal malt flavor. The hop takes over with a sharp peppery flavor. The alcohol is very strong on this one (despite the 6.6% abv rating on the menu). I think this cuts the aftertaste down to a shorter length of time. Chewy body and lowly carbonated.
