This place is close to work, so I've been here a few times.
There are beers in coolers to the left after you enter the store, some six packs around the entrance, and a bar area towards the back.
The beer selection is decent when compared to a higher-end bottle shop. It's probably the best and could be the only place to purchase craft beer in Downtown LA. If you live in DTLA without a car, the convenience of having a place nearby is nice, and possibly worth the premium you'll pay here.
I didn't find anything outrageously expensive, but when I price checked bottles, depending on the format, it was $1 to $3 above typical market prices. Since everything is priced higher than what my regular bottle shop in the area charges, I haven't bought anything yet. I just go in there during lunch and browse to see if there's a gem somewhere.
If they have a must buy, then I'll pay the extra premium and purchase it, but I haven't seen any yet.

This is one of those quirky local stores that you have to visit "at least once" if you're a wine or beer "guy/girl." Downtown in the heart of gentrified Los Angeles next door to a barbershop that's more social club and lounge than haircutter. Love that this area is coming back and hip!
Buzz is full of wine, most of which you would never find in one place...perhaps anywhere. The wines are esoteric, small production, hip, cool, some a bit crazy and all seemingly really well priced. Even the biggest wine snob and wine geek will feel like he/she has found a motherload of "something new." Great selection and probably a new unheard of wine and/or varietal for every day of the year!
Beers are isolated to a few taps in the back of the shop and some specialized flights. All in all a good concept, decent beer although limited creativity and selection on the taps when I was there.
Bottles are isolated in a cooler when you walk in, on the left. Very nice and decent selection and pretty much like most of the better beer stores in town. However, the best part of the selection here is that there are a few, and only a few, beers that you'll probably see no where else in town....at least not yet. I don't know if they can keep the exclusivity going and always have "the different" on the beers but it's a neat place to go and probably offers something for everyone.
I'm going back.

Being a downtown LA resident, i was giddy when this placed opened.
A - This is first and foremost a wine store. The beer, is a nice extra, but the focus of this establishment is wine. It has the typical DTLA hipsterish sort of vibe.
Q - Good quality of beers, nothing eye popping, but for DTLA, anything is a step up.
S - Service is great. Matt Thomas (also a BA) is the beer buyer. He knows his stuff and is always willing to talk beer.
S - Good selection of crafts, although there seems to be more imports than domestic crafts. Not a big deal, but I'd like to see more locals.
V - For LA, surprisingly not bad. Bomber of Sculpin was $6. Not cheap, but I've seen it more at a few other places.
All in all, cool store. Would love to see more crafts and i'm curious to see what beers will be on tap once the tasting area opens. I live and work near the store so I plan on frequenting the establishment often.

This is the only quality beer shop I could find in downtown LA, and it certainly exceeded my expectations. This is a smaller store, but it's new, fresh, and stylish with a great selection of California craft beer, and a few from outside states as well. I found selections from Stone, Port Brewing, Alesmith, Lagunitas, Maui Brewing, and more. They don't have a big selection by numbers, but they have a great selection in terms of quality.
The service was good- help was offered right when I stepped in the shop, and I politely declined. All in all, I would definitely recommend this shop, and I will definitely go back when I'm in downtown LA.
