Review reflects Initial release version contract brewed by Thomas Creek (SC) and modified with tasting in April 2013 at MN Brewing.
A - slightly hazy (only initial version) out of the tap; light amber. Off-white head is thin but has decent duration. Visible carbonation. Leaves a rather full coat of foam on the glass.
Aroma: Hoppy aroma with caramel malt strongly present but more in the background. Hints of citrus
M: Lively but excellent carbonation. Crisp with medium body.
T - very good flavor but neither strong nor especially hoppy for style. This was particularly obvious, perhaps, because the preceding beer was the very flavorful and hoppy Sweetwater IPA.
O - very drinkable but not bold IPA. Just enough hoppiness to qualify as an IPA, this mellow IPA is the best of their 3 regular, bottled brews.
Revisited with a pint at P'cheen.

A - Dark, hazy orange with no head. 3.5
S - Orange hops, slight orange peel, caramel malt
T - Orange, citrusy hops balanced with a good dose of caramel malt. Light alcohol near the end that warms the mouth. Slight floral in the finish
M - Medium body with average carbonation that makes it easy to drink. A crispness near the finish and a slight hop resin lingers on.
O - A really nice and drinkable IPA with good citrus flavors balanced with a slight bitterness

Poured into a pint glass from a bottle.
Very low/no head. Carbonation seems weak.
Beautiful orange color that is a bit cloudy.
Very nice floral/citrus odors.
Taste is malty with a subtle bite that isn't overpowering.
Good mouth feel and not too dry.
Overall a sessionable IPA from a solid Atanta Brewery.

I'm very pleased with this ale. It's very balanced, not too hoppy or malty. You definitely get a good hop taste but not overly bitter. Lots of very nice citrus and floral notes. It almost reminded me of drinking hot jasmine tea in regards to the floral notes. Very pleasant to drink and would be nice to drink on a warm spring day.

32oz growler from Moondog Growler (Marietta, GA). Served in a Souther Tier snifter.
Pours clear orange amber with 3 fingers of pillowy head. Mild lacing.
Mild aroma of floral hops and bread. Pretty weak.
The taste is all bitter and floral hops with some sweet biscuit. Long floral bitter aftertaste.
Medium light bodied with decent carbonation. Mildly resinous.
I'd be lying if I said it was bad but it just isn't what I look for in an IPA. There are too many other truly great IPAs for me to ever return here.

Appearance is decent but almost no head. Aroma had a slight sour funk on it both times i tried this. Taste has minimal hops and hints of malt, with sour notes as well. Feels a bit overly carbonated for the style, but it works ok with the minimal hop flavors. Overall, this is not really a great example of an IPA and not one I would choose if another IPA was available, which is too bad because this is a local Atlanta brewer and we need all we can get out here. It might be a good introductory for those used to only light beers.
