Small light tan head, sticky has-been lacing. Cap and collar.

Definitely get the maple on the nose. Stanky smoke notes.

Taste is somewhat muddled. Yes, maple and bacon and smoke but all kind of thrown together.

Medium mouthfeel, plus carbonation.

Good overall but kind of mashed. Only recommended for huge smoked beer fans, otherwise pass. Thanks mj0126!

Poured from a 500 mL bottle into a goblet. This was released at the brewery yesterday.

Appearance: Pours a near-black with a deep, roasty brown hue and leaves an off-white/tan head of a bit less than a finger. The head quickly fades to a layer atop the beer.

Smell: Nice & mild bourbon, mild smoked, salty meats, oak, vanilla. Very interesting and pleasant aroma.

Taste: Starts with the mild bourbon and fades into mild smoke and ham. Finishes with some nice vanilla, oak and candied bacon (pretty cool). The tastes are all well balanced and well integrated. The smokiness is subdued but present.

Mouth-feel: Moderate carbonation with a medium, slightly creamy body. Finishes smooth.

Overall: A very well balanced and interesting brew. The candied bacon flavor, towards the end of the sip, is very interesting and is unique in a beer. Very drinkable, and nothing unpleasant at all.

Thanks to BPK59 for sharing.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice darker brown black hue with a thin brown head that leaves thin lacing.

S - Aromas of light bourbon, faint smoke, maybe a little maple flash.

T - Taste is loads of maple sweetness, light some, faint bacon grease. Awfully sweet and weird with some faint bourbon notes.

M - Mouthfeel is rather thin and watery.

O - Overall this was a disappointment. Thin, not much bourbon, heck not much bacon either. Glad to try it.

Had baconator when it was on for growlers; this is better.

A- Looks great, black pour with a frothy light mocha colored head

S- salty, smokey chracteristics are dominant with vanilla and slight roast in the background,

T-The beer really brings all the flavors noted in the nose together. At first it is smokey, even a bit meaty but then it fades to a sweet vanilla note, not noticing much maple, still fantastic how well everything works together, better than anticipated flavor wise.

M- The base beer is on the small side, but it still feels lush and velvety for a smaller brew, lends well to the flavors

O- I remember Baconator being a bit more disjointed than this; this blends all the flavors together perfectly. No idea what the abv is, but it is dangerously drinkable, kinda wish the gf was along so I could grab more than 4, hopefully there's some left on monday
