Poured into a snifter
A- pours very dark brown, nearly opaque, with a small sudsy & bubbly light-tan head that reduces to bubbles around the rim, no lace with a few legs left behind
S- lots of sweet chocolaty notes up front with a compliment of toasted coconut. brown sugar, molasses, bourbon, oaky vanilla and a shot of hazelnut espresso
T- lightly roasty, brown sugar flavors mix with a licorice-like sweetness with notes of silky oats and oaky barrel juice, alcohol on the finish with lingers of coffee, bourbon and molasses
M- medium body with low carbonation produces a crisp mouthfeel with a smooth finish, light warmth on the linger, high drinkability for 10%
O- the aroma was more impressive than the taste, but overall very good. I didn’t pick up as much coffee as expected, rather more sweetness that bitterness
