My first Jack's Abbey beer.Pours from the growler into a pokal a slightly orange tinged lighter golden with a fluffy bone white head atop.Fresh cut grass and citrusy hops in the nose, the citrus is quite big.Juicy and fruity citrus fruits on the palate with underlying leafy, grassiness, light drying and toast is detected in the finish as well.Refreshing is a good word for this beer,it's light but packed with hops.

Snow white head atop a clear lemon yellow body. Good retention.

Dank, fruity, and peppery aroma. Herbal and grassy.

Light and fruity up front, peppery mid palate, and a huge grassy, dank finish. All about the hops.

Light feel, a little sticky. Lively and delicate.

What a fantastic XPL. Tons of (Galaxy?) hops are highlighted atop just enough malt body to let them shine.

500 mL bottle purchased at the brewery. Served at 45F into a HF wine glass.

A: Pale straw/light golden color with a transparent body. Full 1" head that is bubbly and well carbonated. The head dissipates slowly and gentle swirling regenerates Bout half the volume. Light lacing left in the glass as I drink this beer.

S: Pepper and herbal/grassy notes from the hops balanced with a light biscuity malt nose. Hints of tropical/citrus scents, but muted.

T: Grassy with some heavier, more dank notes on the finish. Some mild maltiness. Crisp and refreshing. An interesting melange of hops flavors tat I've not had before. Bitterness is mild and the flavors are balanced.

M: Light and crisp. Well carbonated. Cean finish with no oil or slickness.

O: Jacks Abby dpes spme of the best American lagers out there and as an experiment, this works well. Easy drinking and another would go over well on a sultry summer night.

Bottle purchased by my girlfriend at Nathaniel Square Corner Store.

Pours a golden hazy orange-ish color, with a foamy 3/4 inch head, and a little bit of lacing.

Smells very strongly of citrusy hop aromas, courtesy of Galaxy and the other down under hops (Topaz and Ella). Wonderfully juicy and fresh.

Just loads of fruity hop flavor- peach, passionfruit, mango, orange, with some slight pinecone, mild cattiness, some mild bready malt, and a slight amount of lager yeast.

Light bodied, clean, crisp and light mouthfeel. This has a low to medium amount of carbonation, and is very drinkable.

I've only had two versions of this series, but this one is better than Calyptra, I'd say.

poured pint bottle into snifter.

A - Hazy straw yellow in color with a 1 finger white creamy head. Thin ring, some bubbles and lacing.

S - A nice mix of earthy, grassy hops, grainy, and light lemons dominate the nose. I pick up hints of another fruit like aroma, maybe pear.

T - The hops are earthy, grassy, with a mild herbal, fruit like flavor that really brings it together. Notes of some light grain, citrus, and lemon zest with a bitter finish.

M - Light body, crisp, smooth finish with good carbonation. Great brew to drink in the summer.

O - Good beer, but I didn't fall in love with it. I would have preferred a touch more sweetness in the middle to help with the bitter finish.
