trIPL is a massively hopped Triple India Style Lager with a deep copper color and full body. Intensely aromatic with hints of pine and citrus, our special warm hopping process help the Columbus, Chinook and Citra hops dominate, giving the beer a bitter back and a long, complex finish.

Pretty good. I'm generally an ale guy, with that in mind this is an excellent lager. I admit that when I bought it, I thought the L at the end of tripl was an A. Oops. Anyway, decent hop profile, not as strong as I expected from a 10% abv triple but decent. Excellent head, lacing is like crazy, but I personally don't care if there is any lacing at all, I've never noticed a distinct difference in beer with strong lacing or without any at all. The nose is really good here, I detect some nice citrus. Some light pine in there. Pretty good beer, one of my favs for lager.

Opaque orange in color and topped with a full two fingers of fluffy white froth.
Smells of lemon and grapefruit. Taste is complex but unfocused. Notes of grain, grapefruit, orange, burnt sugar and pine seem to work against each other to some extent. Somewhat medicinal in places. Dry for the most part and medium in body.
Big fan of this brewery, and this one does grow on me as it goes (10 percent will do that), but not my favorite.

L - A very light cloudiness, you can see your fingers through the light though, a dark orange with no floaties. Looks very clean and crisp, not like a hazy bomb but beautiful.
S - fresh, malty, bready, yeast. I love it, super potent.
T - balance, balance, balance. The yeast and bready sweet malt is up front and the citra, orange and a bitter hop finish. fabolous.
MF - medium carb, medium light body. nice.
O - wonderful. i honestly did not see it was 10% until I was almost done, you cannot feel it at all but it does warm, guess thats why!

Poured with a retainable head with good lacing throughout. Appearance was not cloudy or hazy like a lot of imperial IPAs - what a nice surprise. I guess that's the advantage of lagering. Great smell of the hops, especially the citra. Nice medium hop flavor. Not a hop bomb, just right. Another good one from Jack's.
