Ancient timelines talk of dark days, plagued by hardships and Kingdom demands. When hope was all but lost, a legend emerged. A plumber. With copper pipes and an uncanny wit, he battled fierce foes and saw to the brewery’s opening. Our Octoberfest is malty, smooth and exceedingly drinkable. It is perfect to celebrate and honor today’s legends. We use locally grown wheat from MA, Munich malt and noble hops.

16oz can into a pint glass. Canned 7/20/23, so 5 months old.

Decent look, clear amber/copper body with a small white head. Decent lacing at first. Strong aroma of caramel malt. On tasting, nicely balanced, very malty but a light hop presence. Slightly sweet. Finish is a lasting caramel malt, very clean. Overall, and I much prefer Festbiers to marzens, this is a very clean refreshing drink. Happy to have the rest of the 4 pack to enjoy over the holidays.

Pours more of a golden brass than copper, but I can get past that.
It's a fantastic tasting beer, crisp, with toasted bready notes.
Very well balanced.
I thank my sons friend for leaving me a 6pk in the fridge.

From the bottom of the can: "233/235 08:57 JA CANNED 09/03/23"

Appearance: It has a somewhat medium-dark gold color body which is pretty hazy. It's possible to see shapes through the glass but everything has a distinct haze to it. There is a short-lived white head which starts out small and fades before the beer can even be consumed.

Aroma: There is a light aroma which gives off a typical "lager" aroma. It has a very faint nutty aroma that is just barely there. There isn't much going on here aroma-wise.

Taste: It has a light bit of a toasty flavor with a hint of a honey sweetness. There is a mellow herbal bitterness which easily overtakes the sweetness until a palate cleanser is used. A light bit of apple near the end.

Mouthfeel: It is on the upper edge of light bodied. Despite the lack of a head it has high carbonation which feels nice on the palate. It drinks well. There is a light hop bitterness to the beer.

Overall: It felt pretty lackluster in all departments except for the drinkability. The can states that this is "BREWED WITH: IMPORTED PILSNER, VIENNA, & MUNICH MALTS" and then "IMPORTED SEITZ FAMILY HOPS." The Vienna and Munich malts don't really come through in either the aroma or flavor. There is a light bit of nutty aroma and a hint of honey sweetness but it wasn't enough which made the beer feel a bit bland. I could still drink it again because it is a drinkable beer but it's on even footing with many of the other average beers that are available. I don't really recommend it unless maybe you can buy it on tap.

16 oz. can. A nice Oktoberfest Märzen, a slight hint of sweetness but mostly a bread, biscuit character complemented by some mild hop bitterness. Finish is mostly dry.

This one was okay, but a bit of a miss for me. Rather dry mouthfeel and a bit of unbalanced hop character. I would try it again, but there are just so many of the style that I enjoy much more than this.

Poured into a narrow imperial pint glass: color is copper, head is very light tan and presents 1-2 fingers thick, head lingers well with solid top and some lacing on the glass sides.

Smell is light toasted malt, grape nuts, light bread, hint of caramel, crisp hops.

Taste is malt forward with notes of toast, grape nuts, bread, caramel, earthy hops, light biscuit.

Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, lower bitterness, soft lingering feel (from the wheat?).

Overall a good base marzen with notable wheat addition that softens the finish.

Similar to Sam Adams IMO. Caramel, well carbonated, east drinking Marzen. No complaints!

16oz can dated 8/14/23.

Pours clear copper with a moderate head and retention. Nutty malt in the nose. Medium bodied with a crisp mouthfeel. Caramel and light toffee on the palate. Finishes fairly dry with a balancing bitterness.

A: This beer poured a light copper color with a white head. The lager was kind of cloudy as you col not see through it.

S: Floral aroma from the hops. Subtle hints of bread but not much coming from the malts.

T: The beer is a bit hopper than I would prefer for a Marzen. The mal flavor is rather subdued.

MF: Beer has a light boy

O: It's a medicore take on the style. I would prefer something with more malt.

Poured from 16oz can into pint glass. Large pillowy white head, hazy copper color, plenty of streaming carbonation. Aroma has some floral and citrus notes, bread dough. Mouthfeel light-to-medium with a somewhat dry finish. Flavor of medium roasted barley, noticeable hop bitterness, not picking up much of the caramel that the brewer states in their description. Not bad, but not my favorite Marzen.
