Notes/Commercial Description:
Ancient timelines talk of dark days, plagued by hardships and Kingdom demands. When hope was all but lost, a legend emerged. A plumber. With copper pipes and an uncanny wit, he battled fierce foes and saw to the brewery’s opening. Our Octoberfest is malty, smooth and exceedingly drinkable. It is perfect to celebrate and honor today’s legends. We use locally grown wheat from MA, Munich malt and noble hops.

500 ml bottle poured into pilsener glass.

A - Outstanding looking beer. A beautiful orange-amber with lot's of carbonation rising, as well as visible bubbles on the glass. Very clear beer, no haze. Only thing keeping this beer from a pefect appearance rating is a smallish head. Still though, one of the prettier beers I've seen in a while.

S - Pretty much what a Marzen usually smells like: Dankness, ferment, a general bitterness. Also detected a bitter flower aroma, and a touch of dandelion.

T - Oh, how do you say SMOOTH Oktoberfest? The upfront taste itself is quite normal for a Marzen: A general bitterness, very mild malts without much sweetness, light hints of grass and wheat. However, the late taste and aftertaste are it's strength. So smooth, the light bitterness plays off the very small amount of sweetness the malt provides.

F - Incredibly smooth and refreshing. Yes it's slightly thick, but man, is this a smooth beer that I wish I would have bought more of. If I could find this stuff cheaper, I could drink many of these.

O - A great Oktoberfest, certainly amount my favorites of the style, if not my top one. Great looking beer, all the mild flavor of an Oktoberfest, with incredible drinkability. Highly recommended.

Pours a rusty orange color with a foamy finger and a half head that dissipates quickly leaving no lacing behind.

The nose is very cola-like, sugar cane, bready malt, wheat and ginger

Very thin feel in the mouth but exceptionally drinkable.

Very respectable taste to the style. Could put down a few of these if it was all that was available.

Overall; another good product from Jack's Abby that sticks true to the Oktoberfest style. Would definitely drink again.

Pours a light copper/gold hue with a thin head into my glass. Looks very much like an oktoberfest.

The use of wheat compliments a malty base, especially in the nose. Very fresh too. Inviting.

Mellow, flavorful, the perfect compliment on a chilly fall night. Chewy, doughy bread comes to mind.

Mouthfeel is nice and clean. Makes me want to have some more.

Jack's Abby has got it going on. Fresh and flavorful octoberfest here.

a: Clear coppery golden; pours with a short lived white head.

s: Toasted bready malts that are a bit nutty and potpourri or tea like fruit.

t: Lightly sweet malty goodness. Bready, nutty, and a tad fruity with a lightly bitter finish.

m: The old cliche, crisp and clean.

o: Really liking what I've tried from these guys, good Festbier for sure.

A: Pours a deep copper color with half an inch of head that fades down to nothing

S: Get mostly graininess and a light sweetness from the Munich malts along with a light fruitiness

T: Starts off with the Munich malts, which provide a light graininess and some sweetness. This is followed by a husky fruit note. Finishes lightly bitter from the hops

M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation

O: A decent American Octoberfest with a definite focus on malts. Not really all that complex, but it's very drinkable. Would be a good option at a festival

Pours a golden color with orange hues, small but decent head, fades at a moderate pace, no lacing on my glass.

Smell is mostly sweet malt with a subtle hop character, nothing that grabs my nostrils attention.

Taste is surprisingly smooth and slick, the body is excellent with a nice creamy feel it to, carbonation is near perfect, taste is mostly malt but does has a decent hop balance in the aftertaste which helps to smooth it out, neither flavor is overwhelming but just the right amount, very easy drinking with a semi-dry finish that keeps you refreshed and coming back for more.
