For me, this beer is unique. The body of this beer is a cloudy straw color. The head is white and fluffy, and the lacing is pretty sticky. Sweet earthy aroma...like sweet hay or corn...unique. The taste is of watered down citrus, over light creamed corn and wheat bread...interesting. The feel and carbonation is medium, nothing more, nothing less. Pretty standard feel for a nice beer, it fits.

Overall, I am impressed. Very unique look, smell, and taste. Refreshingly uncommon beer.

This beer is a double india pale lager, not a pilsner.

L - A thin white head rests on a murky, light orange body. There is a nice, subtle lacing that follows the beer but, for the most part, is a very unassuming beer.

S - After one whiff, you know this is a substantial DIPL... A big kick of citrus and mango hit you right off the bat. The sweetness doesn't taper off, though, instead it finds a deeper root, almost like a syrup.

T - Very complex palette, as the smell implies. It's very sweet but there is a vanilla and nuttiness here, as well. Very well balanced... I've had this beer all season and never have had a bad batch. Lingering aftertaste that reminds you of the 8.5%

F - The lingering effect isn't everyone's cup of tea - but with DIPLs, this is part of the game. The beer is very full without being too much. Anyone could sip at this and enjoy it thoroughly.

O - Exceptional lager here. No surprise coming from Jack's Abbey, one of the most consistent breweries in MA. I'd recommend it to anyone.
