A: Clear, golden-yellow with a big, fluffy, sticky, white head. Good lace but little retention.
S: Rye, fresh hops, spice, grass. The hops have strong fruit and dry, pine notes.
T: Big fruity, juicy hops followed by spicy, delicious rye. A noticeable departure from Hoponius Union which I imagine was their intention. Hops play less of a role with the rye taking an equal part. So if you like rye or a twist on the heavily-hopped IPA with the smooth, clean finish of a lager, this is your beer. Perfectly dry and flavorful finish.
M: What needs to be said? Incredibly fresh, smooth, refreshing, and enough hops to satisfy any hop-head. Very dry with the right amount of carbonation. Hop oils cling to the palate. Delicious stuff.
O: Another incredible beer from Jack's Abby. I've had nearly every beer they've produced and continue to be impressed. I look forward to any new release this brewery creates...and the re-release of Kiwi Rising and Framinghammer!
I'm rating to the style of American Pale Lager (which seems unfair) so this gets really high marks.

Poured into pokal
A: Golden sun yellow with large, creamy, off white head. Leaves large amounts of spider web lacing.
S: Spicy rye, with underlying notes of tropical fruit hops. Hint of bubblegum from the Sorachi Ace.
T: Rye spice and tang right up front, and an assortment of hop flavors following. The Sorachi Ace flavor is most dominant, with its tones of bubblegum and hint of dill. Cascade hop flavor is lurking around as well with flavors of pine resin. Not much in the way of malt flavors except for the overwhelming rye tone.
M: Relatively clean on the palate and ever so slightly viscous. Moderate to little carbonation.
O: Quite a unique beer, let alone a lager. The Sorachi Ace threw me, as I was expecting this beer to be relatively straightforward. Props of JA for taking this beer in a different direction and making it one-of-a-kind.
