Poured into a pilsener glass, the appearance was a semi-clear gold color with a three finger white foamy head that slid at a decent pace. Some light carbonation could be seen rising at a fair pace.
The aroma had a semi-sweet yet spicy floral to white pepper with the citrus, pine and grassy hop aspects riding in for an absolutely wonderful balance.
The flavor was spicy and bitter with a little bit of grapefruit coming in over top of the previously mentioned aromas now showing themselves in the flavor. Fairly sticky sort of grapefruit and floral hop character in the aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied and kicking the spiciness and bitterness fairly down which is nice as this helped it become fairly sessionable. ABV felt as projected but not bothersome.
Overall, as an imperial pilsener, I'd say this is definitely one to have again.
