look: 4.5 | smell: 5 | taste: 5 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 4.75

Date: 3/29/14
Location: Cambridge Whole Foods
Glassware: Tulip
Appearance: Black to Dark Brown with a brown carbonation which quickly evaporates. There is a small viscous ring at the edge of the beer.
Aromatics: So many wonderful smells in here. The bourbon, some woods and grains. The vanilla with coffee makes my mouth water.
Flavor: The bourbon has a big presence with the vanilla. Still getting a lot of wood flavor. The mouthfeel is very oily but great.
Finish: The alcohol plays a part in the finish along with the oil and carbonation left on the tongue.
Notes: This beer is dangerously drinkable. Before I knew it my glass was empty, then the bottle and I nearly considered opening my second bottle.

Serving type: bottle
