No bottle date that I can see but this was just released. Maybe 2-3 weeks old tops?
A: Pours a perfectly clear gold. Big fluffy white head. Great head retention as it lingers forever. Beautiful dense lacework.
S: Big big hoppy notes. Sharp, pungent grapefruit with lots of tropical fruit. Tangerine and apricot I think. Hint of pine.
T: Oh yeah. Tropical fruits, bitter grapefruit and plenty of pine to go with it. Big and crisp hop flavor up front. A dry crackery malt in the middle and through the finish. Quite bitter in the finish too. Resinous grainy hop residue-like feeling in the aftertaste (best way I can describe it).
M: Medium bodied, smooth and dry.
O: Another great DIPL from Jack's Abbey. Big bitter hops with a light crackery malt leads to a crisp and sharp brew. Surprisingly drinkable though, their lagering work tends to see to that.

12 oz. poured into a pint tumbler. Big creamy 1 finger head, lots of lacing, crystal clear pale yellow golden color. Nose had fresh hops, resins, hops oils, bit musty, some fresh citrus fruit and grapefruit, almost no lager or malts.
Taste explodes with fresh citrus hops, grapefruit and tropical fruits, light hop resins and musty fresh hop oils, a bit oily, then some light lager fruits and light pale malts, some sweet toasty malts. Light sweet honey like flavor. The it gets very bitter and slightly astringent, the hops way overpower the lager flavors and gets a bit overly on the finish, dry and very bitter finish with lingering fresh hops and citrus, light pine as well, and has a sticky almost creamy feel.
I'm an IPA guy, not a Lager guy, but bumping the IBU's to 100 seemed to kind of work. I would choose this over many standard IPA's out there but prefer the 65 IBU's of their Hoponius Union over this. The beers seemed identical with welcomed less bitterness at 65 IBU.

12 ounce bottle. W/o freshness/bottling info that I can find.
Cloudy and straw hued. Near white cap that's sturdy and staying. Leaves ample low sheeting and plenty of bands and blobs of stick.
Grapefruit bomb of a nose.
Citric and hop forward Imperial lager. More grapefruit, lime and orange. Unflinchingly hoppy, crisp and quite enjoyable. Well worth a try.
