On a side street In an industrial part of Framingham resides Jacks Abby. Busy but not too crowded. Remember to wear closed toe shoes if taking the tour. Jumped on a tour that had just started and saw the two bright tanks: Frank the Tank and Joes Nanny. Proceeded to barrel aging room. Proceeded quickly to the tasting room.

Some samples are free and some cost a little. Tried the Framingham lager, coca nut Framinghammer Baltic porter (awesome) , mass rising ( great) and hopnius union. Four tasting glasses served in a cool carrier. Copper plated ceiling and whiskey barrels round out the decor. Growler fill station was in constant service.

Great visit. Informal yet very informative tour. Great lagers. Joined the growler club and I plan on filling up my growler card. (774 characters)

I brought my brothers here over the weekend after a round of golf and they both loved it. I had been a few times before. We bought a round of Mass Rising and a couple pints of Jabby Brau. There is a steady flow of people coming and going, and while it's a small place, it never really felt crowded. No food, but plenty of different options and volumes for trying and bringing home their beer. Whether I'm stopping in for a quick visit or having a couple pints, I am always well-served here. (490 characters)

The place is small, but welcoming. Apparently, it used to be smaller... I don't know how they fit more than 15 customers in there back then. The lone server behind the bar was very nice and quick to fulfill any orders. The selection is rather large for both draft and bottles. The quality is pretty good, but I'm not the biggest fan of lagers. Still, I can get behind these guys. I luckily showed up the day after the Cherry Berliner Braun release, so I got my fill of that. Damn good beer. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. (538 characters)

Made my second visit in as many weeks today. Both were between 4-5pm on a weekday so there were just a handful of people there buying or tasting. The guys working at the counter were very friendly and willing to answer any questions I had about the beers.

The space is nice but almost all standing room with just 5 stools at the counter. Not an issue when I went but on a weekend I imagine it could get kind of tight.

All of the current choices are clearly laid out on a chalkboard with various pricing options for samples, glasses, growlers, etc. There was quite a range on tap. Light, dark, maltly, hoppy, strong, sessionable, well known flagships and new small batch creations. It shouldn't be a problem for you to find one (or several) that you like.

Jack's Abby is doing great things with lagers and I feel fortunate that they are close enough for me to drop in sample at the source. Sometime soon I would like to do the tour and see the actual brewing operations. If you find yourself in the area during open hours you really should stop by to taste what's happening. (1,079 characters)

The amazing beers Jacks Abby is putting out together with the fact it's less than an hour ride from my house and I've never had to stand in line makes this one of my favorite places . The new tasting room is a good place to try a few beers before making your selection for growler fills . This is my go to brewery and I love the fact that i don't have to plan my whole day around a trip to get beer . They also do a good job keeping their website up to date with what's on tap and it seems like someone there is constantly logged into beeradvocate and they do a great job of answering questions on this site . (609 characters)
