The beer is deep brown, a very short tan head leaving no lacing, small curtains.

Smelling slightly of toast and coffee beans, red fruits, rather sour notes.

Starting slightly with bread notes, then sour dish rag, old coffee.

Nearly no carbonation, watery, a sour dryness.

I do suspect and hope that this beer has gone wrong. Anyway this bottle was nothing to cheer for.

A word to the wise before my review: Drink this one while it's fresh - it tends to get sour over time...

A: Pours deep red/brown with a rather tall tan head that sinks into quite nice lacings.

S: Licourice and buttery dark roasted sweet malt.

T: Again strong in licourice but balanced with dark bitter chocolate and a strong coffee back-bone. Some faint vanilla-notes.

M: Aftertaste lingers for quite some time holding strong coffee and bitter notes. Body is medium to full while carbonation is so mild.

O: A rather interesting Brown Ale with loads of licourice - that makes all the difference.
