Light amber color with an opaque white head of microfoam. Looks great. Laces well.

Picking up C-hops in the nose with leafy and citrusy notes. Hint of lemon. Wafery pale malts with a whisper of treacle. Maybe tropucal syrup.

Well presented. Simple approach with lots of citrus hop flavor (Citra? Centennial?). Touch of dry mango and stone fruit. Tangerine, flowery hop, and raw leafiness. Malts are simple and biscuity with a hair of sweetness. Still, very dry with all of the alpha acid interception.

Almost creamy mouthfeel. Very elegant. Very worthy stuff. Carbonation hits you like a frothy milkshake. It's a medium body, but totally elevated.

This is a solid pale ale from Helltown. I don't know how I could've expected much less.

Bought a growler at Giant Eagle for $12.50.

A - Very pretty clear straw color with a 1.5 finger head with nice retention.

S - Hop forward by pale ale standards. A little citrus-fruity, a little touch of pine, and some minor malty sweetness.

T - For the style, it's excellent. It's a borderline session IPA. Citrus notes up front give way to a little touch of pine and cracker malt finishes the brew off.

M - Some light carbonation tickles the tongue. It finishes relatively clean with a small bitterness on the back end.

O - Overall, this is a great pale ale. I've yet to have a beer from Helltown that I wouldn't seek out again and this one is no different. One of the better pale ales I've had.

Great look out of the tap. Nice amber color with a slight cloud. Very piney on the nose. Nice mouthfeel and full flavor on the tongue. Not much linger to the flavor, but leaves a small bitterness that I like from a pale. Overall it is a nice drinkable APA.

Pours a light orange color with a white soapy head. The aroma has big time citrus and hints at other tropical fruits such as mango and pineapple.

In the taste, fresh squeezed citrus, pine and resin notes. Big time hops for a standard pale, could be sold as an IPA without question. Firm malt body and a substantial bitterness. Fresh tasting tropical hops and a clean, almost neutral pale malt backing.

Medium bodied, well carbonated with a small hop bite. Hop oils linger on in the aftertaste.

Overall, this is a fantastic pale from Helltown. These folks really know what they're doing.

Looks damn nice off the pour. Mildly fogged amber gold. Nose was strong pine punch at first. Flavor has a firm spiced bitterness with a straw and fairly earthy bitterness. Seems to fall off a bit quicker than I'd want, but there is a lingering bitterness in the mouth which I can dig. Not the most mind-blowing brew from Helltown, but yet another solid release from one of my favorite breweries from the area.

Had this on 2014-07-05 at the brewery

A - Pretty clear orange-gold with a 1-finger head and decent lace.

S - Papaya, pineapple, hop floral, light malt. Very nice

T - Papaya, pineapple, pine, hob bud flavonoids, cracker. Finishes pretty dry with some fruit and malt sweetness to balance the significant-but-not-out-of-hand bitterness, which does linger. I really like the taste of this brew.

M - Light-medium body and medium carbonation. A bit resinous and prickly but ultimately refreshing.

O - A very enjoyable pale ale. Holds its own in a crowded field. At $10/growler at the brewery, it's a steal for this level of quality.
