Popped one last week that was bottled in July 2014. Aging did wonders for this beer. The nose, funk and the tart finish is exceptional. If they produce this again, I will buy and let sit for a long time before opening.

I purchased several of these on release day. At that time they were good, a tad thin, and a bit under developed. I sat on them for a year, and wow. These have developed into a delicious, tart funky beer. They developed so well that I bough two cases. The cherries and barrel are now coming through quite well. Do yourself a favor and try this again if you've only tried at in the first 8-12 months.

Pours a light pinkish color with a slight haze. The fizzy head does fade quick. The aroma is pretty funky, sour fruit and rotting garbage in an acceptable way. Sour upfront on the taste with some cherries and raw grain on the back end. Perhaps a bit gaseous, there is a slight sulfur thing going on. Still sour, oaky and pretty enjoyable. Reminds me more of a fruited barrel aged Berliner Weisse than true Belgian Kriek, but in these parts we take what we can get. Interesting to try, I liked it.

Pour is pink grapefruit in color, clear, with a fizzy white head that dissipates immediately. Nose is light plastic/acetic with some cherry and sawdusty barrel. Sour, stings the back sides of the mouth, Lots of cherry, slightly thin, some notes of acetic and rubbery phenol. Assertive carb, light body.

From a bottle, pours a very attractive pink grapefruit color, not a ton of carbonation, just a small light red head.
The nose is tart cherries, a little funk, and definitely some wood pulp from the oak treatment. The taste is equally as tart as the nose, lots of vinegar, cherries, brett, and wet wood. It has alot of acid, almost puckering.
Overall, this is good, but not exceptional.
