Notes & Commercial Description:
Beer added by: Tone on 12-07-2011

This is our most hoppy of our flagships. It is an American Amber Ale that is hopped with Centennial and Amarillo to 76 IBUs. It comes in at 6.8% abv with enough caramelly sweetness to balance the bitterness of the hops. A well rounded and very popular beer.

A: Served a dark amber color with a tan head and some lacing.

S: Aroma of citrus, some fresh grain and a bit of caramel sweetness.

T: Taste of fresh grain, some malt sweetness, very mild bitterness and a dry finish.

F: Fairly light body, crisp and quite smooth. Nice balance.

O: Easy drinker. Nice offering for the style. Worth a try. (338 characters)

Pours a cloudy, dark brown on top that fades to a dark copper. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of citrus hops, sweet malt, slight earthy malt, and a hint of pine. Fits the style of an American Amber / Red Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of sweet malt, earthy malt, slight citrus hops, wood, hint of biscuit, and a hint of grain. Overall, great appearance, good complexity, and blend. (438 characters)
