Beautiful light gold straw hazy, with a good head retention.
Very light soft fruit on the nose.Pineapple and hint of other citrus.
Taste is very pleasant, very smooth and soft. . This is light tasting to be a regular go to ale, but it is very strong.
This should be considered the last beer of the night. Deceptively easy to drink.
The hop profile I would guess are German, along the lines of Saatz, Hallertau, brewed with lager malts.
Not the best ale brewed with lager ingredients, but definitely very good.
If you want a bold hop heavy kind of IPA, this one aint for you, pal.
It is an excellent pairing with fish and chips !!

This was poured into a becher pint glass. The appearance was a glossy burnt yellow color. Nice haze with a nice carbonation seen rising at a moderate pace. Sticky lace follows after a mellow finger’s worth of white foamy head. The smell starts off with a bright full bittersweet citrusy chock full of hops. Nice level tropical fruits slide in underneath. The flavor brings the tropical sweetness forward just a bit more than the bittersweet portion of the citrusy hops. Me, I don’t mind that - I get it, no worries. Semi-sticky citrusy aftertaste, light semi-sweet dry finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a great sessionability about it. Carbonation feels good. Moderate bitter harshness beats at my tongue, feels good for the most part. Overall, damn nice AIPA. Definitely would have again.

16 oz can (about 2 months old)

Pours a slightly hazy orange-gold color with foamy one-finger head. Aroma has light tropical fruit but a little peppery scent to it as well. Taste has stronger citrus tones and a bit of sweet cracker to it, which is very pleasant. Moderate hoppiness up front with a solid but not too strong bitterness throughout. The finish is cleanly dry due to a low to moderate amount of malt.

I think the west coast designation comes from their willingness to keep the bitterness up with the hops, but I would expect more maltiness before I would go there. All in all I like this beer. I find it light and refreshing and a nice variation on from the low bitter hazy IPAs dominating around these parts nowadays (which I am a fan of too).

From the can, pours cloudy gold color with a 1-2 finger thick foamy white head that was full of bubbles of all sizes, dissipating very slowly and leaving good spotty lacing. Some sediment floating around for the nice New England style look.

Smells like grapefruit juice with pineapples and clementines tossed in for a citrus fruit salad aroma. Add in some lemon zest, orange peel, graham cracker, toasted grains and light peppery spices and you get this brass knuckle can essence. I think this aroma is pleasing and full of nice fresh citrus notes with enough malty balance to ride the hop wave.

Tastes quite juicy and hoppy, but the bitterness is immediately evident and takes away from the fresh hop essence to start this off. Flavor includes grapefruit, lemon, orange peel, melon, pineapple and then crackers, brown sugar, toasted grains, whole wheat crackers and light spices like white pepper and coriander. Piney hops peek through as well as some floral hops and herbal notes, giving it what almost seems like a potpourri complexity. The grapefruit seems to be the most dominant flavor, bringing along the associated bitterness which is just a tad bit too high for my preference.

Poured into a 12 oz skinny tulip glass, not sure when it was canned and says on the can 7% ABV.

Pours a straw yellow with a 2 finger fluffy white head that leaves behind plenty of lace.

Smell is pear, passion fruit, biscuit, lemon, a little pine, and mild grapefruit.

Mouthfeel is less than medium, moderate carbonation, not dry, and excellent drinkability.

Overall this is more North East IPA than it is West Coast. Solid beer, but not memorable at all.
