From a bomber into an IPA glass.

A- Dark, burnt orange...like a smoggy L.A.sunset. Dirty, white 2 inch head that falls away quickly leaving tiny dots of lace behind.

S- A strange tropical earthiness if there is such a thing. Maybe some grapefruit and just a hint of resin or pine, very faint.

T- Bitter orange, resin and bread....quite an unusual combo for me....

M- Minimal carb feel that coats the mouth and tongue completely leaving a little bitterness as it goes.

O- A bit confusing, like it doesn't quite pull off what it set out to do. The bitterness is a bit harsh, but strangely enough, I rather like it.

I enjoyed this while in Minneapolis for work, per suggestion by beer store guy. Much appreciated.

Dull copper color with frothy egg shell head. The nose is juicy grapefruit, pineapple, resin, and ends with floral notes. The taste begins with a strong malt backbone - a little sweet - with floral hop profiles and a chewy grain finish. High carbonation, full body, a decent hop bite.

This is a great IPA - and at 4.99 - bring it on. Super good beer, well crafted, and great price. This is under the radar and needs to be more known.

On tap
A: copper orange and 3 finger white head
S: citrus and earthy notes mixed together; a little graininess too
T: bit of grapefruit, fainter orange, then some resin; caramel malts and a little breadiness in the mid-mouthful and toward the end, together with more resin.
M: medium carbonation, pretty smooth, a little oily.

Overall: I'm not entirely sure what to make of this one. I want to love it, since the brewery is very near by; but it ends up somewhere in between being really juicy and sweet, really dank, really earthy and/or spicy...it doesn't entirely commit in one direction, and what you end up getting is good, but leaves me thinking it isn't great. I'm probably in the minority here, but... like Rainmaker a lot better.

One of my top 5 Twin Cities IPA's. Extremely consistent.

Aroma is non distinct which disappointed me for a brew that touting huge NW coast hops. Flavor is grassy straw with an unexpected bitter & sweet finish. Well carbonated and felt right to the tongue. Wasn't overwhelmed with it...
