A - The pour revealed a mostly white, some slight yellow, head that rose to about a finger before falling fairly quick. Body is clear and a nice wheat/orange color. I feel like the body is lacking something, like it is watery.

S - One of the stronger and more complex aromas from an IPA I have smelled. Good pine/hop notes, fairly woody, and only the slightest lime rind.

T - It's a very harsh hop profile that tastes a lot like lime rind and lemon seeds. Not a whole lot here.

M - Gets you in the back of your mouth, but not in a good way. Good carbonation, but body is a bit lacking.

O - I feel this beer is all about the hugely bitter hops, which isn't always a good thing. You can use a lot of hops and still have balance, which, as the bottle says, this does not. I drank this as soon as I received it, but unfortunately I don't know the origin, so it may be a little old.

22oz bottle.

Pours a crystal clear golden amber with a thick creamy head that leaves some nice lacing.

Aroma is full of pineapple and pine resin but also a hefty caramel malt sweetness - very balanced in the nose.

Taste is also very balanced with caramel malts and toasted grains on one hand and grapefruit and pienapple on the other.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied and sweeter than many IPAs. It's got some prickly character with decent carbonation.

This is one of the better balanced IPAs I've had recently. I'm not sure if I'm as big a fan of this than I am some of the hop-heavy IPAs out there, but it certainly makes it drinkable.

Poured from 22 oz. bottle into a Sam Adams "Perfect Pint" glass.

Appearance: Pours a bright and clear copper amber orange with a lot of rising bubbles. Big four finger off white head with good retention. Leaves a lot of lacing around the glass.

Smell: Big aroma of fresh hops all around. Big hints of citrus grapefruit, orange peel, mango, apricot, lemon, and pineapple. Some earthy, grassy hops and a little pine resin spice. Caramel and pale malts in the background with hints of toffee and biscuit. Very hop forward and juicy aroma. Really good.

Taste: Big juicy hop taste like the nose previewed. Big upfront kick of ripe and nicely bitter citrus hops. Big notes of grapefruit, oranges, apricot, mango, pineapple, and lemon. Also some earthy and floral hops along with a decent hint of spicy pine. Solid backing of bready pale malts with notes of biscuit, caramel, and toffee. A really good tasting West Coast style IPA, (or as the bottle says, Northwest).

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate level of carbonation. Creamy, juicy, and fairly smooth. Finishes dry.

Overall: A really great first take on a American IPA from this new brewery. Really impressive. Great citrus esters.

Bomber poured into a pint glass

This pours a brilliant orange color. Very nice clarity. 2 Finger sticky head up top. Smells of citrus fruits, pines, and hops. Very fresh smelling. Taste is hoppy yet smooth. Nice and refreshing up front with lots of grapefruit and oranges with a hoppy finish that has the right amount of bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and solid carbonation. Overall I loved this. Very easy drinking and enjoyable.

Bomber into a couple of snifters. The brew pours a perfectly clear golden copper color with 2 fingers of yellow stained frothy off-white head. Strings of lace stick to the glass. Overall a beautiful looking brew.

The aroma is full of hop scents like herbs and pine. Grassy somewhat toasty and floral as it warms up. A bit spiced and zesty with a chessy aspect that isnt totally appealing.

The taste is toasty with grain providing a bit of sweetness for the hops to work off. The hops taste herbal and somewhat dank with a minor touch of pine, cheese and sulfur. As it warms up, it gets some rindy bitterness like grapefruit zest.

This is a medium bodied brew with a modest level of carbonation. The alcohol is felt with a progressive warmth that isnt overdone. I am not sure how fresh this particular offering was but it started off real strong with visuals and aromatics but it drastically tapered off as the experience continued. Its worth a try and somethin id try again if given the chance.

White head. Color clear golden orange.

Aroma: lots of grapefruit and citrus. Bready malts. Very fresh and hoppy. West coast styled kind of.

Taste: floral and piney. Very hoppy. A little malt comes through, but this definitely doesn't remind me of a midwest ipa.

Mouthfeel: bitter and sticky. Medium bodied with a medium amount of carbonation.

Overall, this was a solid ipa. We need to see this on tap more often around MN.
