This is how I wish macros tasted. Well, that's not really true. I might as well wish even higher as long as I'm wishing, but this beer should be what mass appeal beer tastes like. It's not scary or difficult. It's just a well-balanced, well-hopped pale ale. It's relatively light with good lemony bitter notes. It looks really good in the glass, light orange with yellow highlights, a good sticky head and some fun suspension. The nose is a tad weak but good when it comes through. It's fresh and sweet with a crisp citric tone. The taste is similar. Lemony hops and light malt mix well into a good, calm beer. Feel can get a bit watery, especially with my palette still bracing from the relatively recent spate of fall DIPAs. The beer is quite drinkable. It's a very easy beer to like, even if it doesn't blow you away, and I would far, far prefer to see it on tap at a bar than nearly any macro.

Draft at Kahootz. Overall, kind of bland, but the mouthfeel is amazing. Super creamy. Very lightly hopped, mostly grainy. Light golden with small head that fades.

Look: Light to medium orange and opaque with a lofty white head that swells to a pillow, holds, and slowly recedes, leaving good lacing behind
Aroma: Lemon-lime, navel orange, pink grapefruit, freshly baked bread, fruity esters, light floral notes, and a little honey
Taste: Starts off with a full-on citrus fruit salad with the usual cast but led mainly by limes and some orange. Bready malt is ever-present along with some honey as floral hop notes peek in occasionally throughout and closes as it started
Mouthfeel: Full, soft, medium-high carbonation, and a soft and pretty smooth finish with zero dryness
Overall: I dig it. This is a classic beer and I feel exemplifies the Extra Pale Ale style – light or not overpowering hop flavors/aromas, a solid but light malt base, and smooth and soft overall. This beer screams outdoor hangouts as it’s refreshing, light in ABV, and a great no-nonsense beer

not enjoying the flavor of this beer. a sweetness that I wouldn't call pleasant. My friends and I describe this taste as an aquarium like flavor.

Color is amber. Hop profile smells fruity and floral with just a hint of spice. Taste is orange and floral with honey. Sweet doughy malts back the beer up. This is a beer I used to drink a lot of, long before I was into tasting. It holds up and is a well constructed, easy-drinking pale ale. It's hard to find anybody making APA nowadays, so this one is a keeper.

Solid pale ale. Overall it's great. Only downside is the sweetness. If it was a little more bitter or hoppy, it'd be perfect.

I found this to be a little too sweet. There are definitely better pale ales out there.

To me this is equal to or above the gold standard for pale ale,Sierra Nevada. Has a great aroma with a slight flowery taste. One of my two desert island beers that I unfortunately can't get any longer because they stopped distributing it in Eastern Pennsylvania about two years ago.

There will never be a better Pale Ale anywhere anytime! Great color. Great taste. Love the sweet mystic recipe. Unbelievable from tap. Somewhat peppercorn. Very nice! On the cusp of bigger things but worried that prospects will change I venture! Love ya way you are Blue Lake!
