A 4 –grain beer brewed according to the original Wilderen kanunnik recipe. A mild herbal triple with reyeasting in the bottle and a mild aftertaste due to the use of fine & noble species of hops. In this beer in addition to barley, wheat and oats sometimes also rye is added which gives this Triple its typical character.

Brought back from my trip to Belgium last spring, best before date 06/15
Pours a big fluffy pasty white bubbly 2 finger head that starts collapsing on itself quickly and recedes back to a 1 finger head despite many bubbles streaming up through the crystal clear tan honey colored.
Nose brings sweet malt characters, little toasty and grainy with some blond malts, a mild sweet slightly syrupy light candi sugar, lots of fruity aromas too, hint of a citrus zest, but plenty of fruity esters, little apple, apricot, stone fruit, etc, and some mild phenolic booze.
Taste starts sweet again, this time a lot of a caramel like flavor, caramelized sugars and a big citrus zest in the middle. Right into fruit again, esters, with apple, apricot, stone fruit, etc. The sweet characters bring a little creme brulee or flan like caramel sugar character and light colored candi sugar. A hint of a grainy toasty blonde malt as well. Sweetness is cut by the slightly phenolic booze warmth and tingle. Finish is a little sticky sweet, mild booze tingle still, more fruits with apple and pear even, hint citrus zest and more candi.
Mouth is med bod, tons of carbonation that gets a little distracting and tingly itself, and some warming tingly booze.
Overall not bad, but nothing to write home about. It hits the spot when you want a nice estery fruity Belgian blond, phenolic booze warmth, lots of sweet flavors and caramlized flavors without too much actual sweetness or syrupy feel.

330ml bottle. dark brown glass.. Probabkt 8.2 % abv. Label is not really easy to read.
It says 8-9 degrees celcius. Mine is 6-7.
Yeasting on the bottle. So age might matter.
Pours a big 3 finger head, disolving quite soon. Light to medium carbonated. Small bubble.
Smell: marshmellow. Bit of rose.
Taste: roses, Roses. Roses, A little bit of yeasty tanginess.
The high abv is not an issue. Very drinkable. A very pleasant triple,I think this beer can make many women turn into drinking beer.
For me it too smooth. It lacks a bit of edge. Bring in some dirt yeast.
But I cannot rate this lower than a 4.

From the International Beer Collector Subscription March 2022. Drunk in February 2023.
L: An amber-yellow, beer-coloured beer, with a huge, white, rocky, almost wheat-beerish head. Plenty of carbonation in the glass.
S: Strong coriander and clove notes to the point where it almost tips over into solvent territory.
T: the coriander and clove vibe carry into the mouth, with a long, sweet finish and minimal yet pleasant bitterness. There is still, however, that feeling that the beer is about to tip over to the solvent side of the flavour spectrum and that has me on my toes with each sip. That aside, there's a little bit of warmth from the alcohol but it's not at all evident that this is an 8.2% ABV beer.
M: Quite soft, even a little chalky. There's almost no carbonic prickle with this beer. such a smooth 8% drinker could be very dangerous!
O: I'm not so sure I'm on a winner with this one. There's that solvent dimension that I mention, which to be fair, never eventuates, but maybe I got so hung up on it (like the archetypal beer nerd) that it stopped me from really enjoying the beer, and so need to mark it down for that.
Cheers!

Blind-tasted except for the beer's name and brewery/country, zero reviews below read (yet!)...
L- Pours mid-amber with a hint of haze (minor sediment also left in bottle). 5mm snow-white cap of foam. [holds well]
S- Quite herbal and verdant.
T- Herbal and verdant again; I wonder what the added ingredient is. I get a clear apsect of celery which is seriously unexpected. I notice it clearly as I have never liked celery! It's clear yet subtle though, so quite tolerable.
F- Beneath 'the veg' is a nicely balanced deep bright-richness, together with an ABV% driven oomph.
O- Like a bright and verdant Triple; the latter is veeery unusual for the style. The unique note here comes over to me as celery but I might be wrong and it's something similar'ish? ... Nice for something different, I'm intrigued what the veg note is!...
Review/scoring all done, now the reveal, I get to read the bottle lables to see what I missed! ==> Bottle refermented, 4-grain, spices and candy sugar.
330ml bottle Euro2.60 BB: 27/11/2022 Bought from BeerMania/Belgium as part of a large pick-your own consignment to London. - #1885-17/06/21

Tasty blonde ale with some attributes of a tripel.
Pours a light amber, plenty of fine effervescence and white head that resolves to about a finger breadth of clingy foam.
smell is peppery, light toasted malts, coriander, some bubble gum notes, banana
taste is sweet malts forward, caramel, biscuit, light tropical fruit and hint of floral, hoppy notes with transition to a clean finish.
Body is medium with a good deal of carbonation - keeps the sweet malts from becoming too syrupy and cleans the palate.
An easy drink blonde ale with belgian yeast notes - I rather enjoyed it, and would stock up on this easy drinking blonde with well hidden abv
