Like a campfire in a glass, this robust beauty has seductive notes of vanilla, smoked cedar, and mulling spices on the nose. A dark pour with mild lacing, she is a rollercoaster of lush chocolate and fig fruits diving into a semi-dry finish of toast and biscuit.

Light black in color with almost no penetration to light. A half inch of khaki colored head blankets the top. Brussels lacing. Aroma is dark malt with a hint of smoke. The taste is comprised of bitter dark malt with a hint of sweetness in the finish. The mouth is smooth and silky.

12 oz bottle, poured into a pint glass

Appearance: Pours a beautiful , completely opaque, pitch-black color with a quarter of a finger of white-colored head that quickly dissolved away into a thin lacing of foam that completely covered the top of the beer.

Aroma: Nice aromas of bready, toasted malt, the eponymous graham crackers, followed by some brown sugar, cinnamon and honey.

Taste: Very nice! Strong, bready flavors of toasted malt up front, imparting notes of bicuits, graham crakers, honey-bicusuits, followed by lots of brown sugar-like sweetness, a touch of vanilla, and a touch of milky, lactose.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied and extremely smooth and creamy as there is not carbonation, and quite a bit of milky, lactose. With an ABV of 5.6%, there is no alcohol on the palate.

Overall: Wow! What a great, creamy, malty, sweet, porter! Delicious! I wish we could get this on the east coast!

Pitch black with small tan head, little bit of lace.
Smells excellent. Sweet, spicy graham cracker, hints of nutmeg, cocoa powder, vanilla, tootsie rolls and malt. A+
Tastes like a beer version of a chocolate malt. Smooth bready vanilla and chocolate flavors balanced by subtle hop bitterness and hint of roastiness.
Would be nice if this beer was a bit richer and fuller in mouthfeel. For a regular porter its nice, but I'd love to see an "imperial" version of this brew.

First had: on tap at their brewpub

A great porter! Poured into a signature pint glass, a dark opaque brown with a thin layer of tan bubbles for a head. Roasty aroma, with lots of dark malts, semisweet chocolate, a touch of coffee bitterness, and notes of vanilla, cinnamon and sugar, and just a hint of smoke. The flavor truly came out when I let the beer get closer to room temperature. Big roasty malts, dark chocolate, brown sugar, mild sensation of figs, toasted marshmallow, and a defined graham cracker taste that tantalized all senses and lingered pleasantly in the aftertaste. Nearly full-bodied, and very drinkable. I had no problem ordering another.
