Top-fermented ale brewed with ecologically grown unmalted spelt. It has a pale golden, hazy appearance with a creamy and persistent head. The yeast provides aromas of ripe bananas balanced nicely by the bitter notes of the hops and the intense cereal flavors of the spelt.

A: The beer is very hazy golden yellow in color and has a moderate to high amount of visible carbonation. It poured into a weizen glass with a three finger high bright white head that has very good retention properties and consistently left a quarter finger high head covering the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderately strong aromas of bananas are present in the nose along with notes of wheat and hints of grainy malts.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste starts out with flavors of bananas from the yeast and wheat malts but then notes of cereal and grainy malts start to become noticeable and linger through the aftertaste.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate to high amount of carbonation.
O: Despite the presence of spelt, I found this hefeweizen to be quite refreshing and easy to drink. The grainy nature of the spelt malts lend a bit of uniqueness to the taste.

On-tap- Weizen glass. Pale straw color, foggy appearance. Close, lasting head, white in color. The sticky crown leaves many lacing rings. Intense aromas of fresh bread & biscuit, flowers & hints of clove. Gentle malty upfront & creamy mouthfeel. Full to medium body. Moderate carbonation. Oily to watery texture. Hints of ripe fruit in the middle –pear - & clean bitterness.
