When arriving here, I was shocked... not one person in the place other than a bored bartender. I got a sampler and all the beers were solid as were expected, no limited or unique releases available. After about an hour, another person finally came in who told me the owner has no understanding to run a brewery, as he didn't even want to pick up a nice television for the place because it would be too expensive. I don't know if this is true, but I certainly won't be back here again with so many other fun brewery experiences in the area. Obviously, the service couldn't have been better... I was the only guy there for most of the time.

This is the new location for Mendocino Brewing Company, replacing their former brewpub in Hopland.
This location is in a new strip mall next to a tractor store in the southern part of town near the airport. There are plenty of spots available in the parking lot.
Compared to the original in Hopland, the new location is quite sterile. When you walk in there are a few scattered tables and a pool table. The bar is fairly long and is on the left hand side. They have 18 beers on tap. They carry a lot of the Mendocino line, as well as offerings from their Butte Creek, Kingfisher, and Carmel Wheat lines. They also had a special keg of the Mendocino Barleywine that was oak aged. They offer a lot of their beers in bottles. I paid $5 for a pint of the Butte Creek IPA which was quite malt forward and not my cup of tea.
The food selection is limited to steamed hot dogs and sausages as well as snacks like chips, peanuts, and beef jerky. I did not have any food while I was there.
I found the service to be as good as the old location.
They sell their beers to go in growlers and do mix and match cases.
If you find yourself in Ukiah and you need a beer, you could do a lot worse. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here though.
