Poured on tap at H st festival, solo clear cup.
Tap gushes, settles.. Soupy off white head, some very good staying power but no retention really (expected). Body color is a real nice peach and glowing orange. Opaque.
This is very odd and interesting on the nose. It smells like a sticky ESB, with some tropical weak watery fruit punch. Mango watery punch, no hop sense weirdly, but fruity I really dont know what to make of this. Its not off putting to me at least.
Palate has some decent body, but that sort of buttery esb, english bitter thing kicks in. notes of tropical come out a bit, a little cream. Feel hits nicely, kind of thick soup, but palate flavor is wet, almost backwards. Hop angle finally seems to kick in on the finish, lingering English pekoe peach and mango. Slightly dry and tannic.
Umm... Different. Unlike any ipa I ever had..

Had on tap tonight at RFD at their Launch Party. Served in a pint glass. Unsure of the ABV, guessing around 6%.
a - Pours a murky orange-brown color with two inches of white head and moderate carbonation evident.
s - Smells of citrus hops and not a lot else; kind of weak at first. I thought it got better as I drank it, though it wasn't served too cold to begin with. Some fruit seemed to come out at well
t - Tastes of citrus hops, bready malts, fruity malts. Tastes lightly bitter. Also a little almost light soapiness to it, which is a bit weird. A step down from the nose.
m - Medium body and moderate carbonation.
o - Overall an ok beer but not as good as DC Brau's Public Ale in my opinion. Something a little off in the taste. Willing to give another shot but not their best offering.
