The beers at Cervejaria Nacional are all named after Brazilian Folk Tales. The Sa'Si Stout is a decent stout. The appearance was rich dark/opague stout with tan head. The smell was nicely accented with roast and malt. The taste was a good balance roast/malt with sublte sweetness from molasis possibly. The mouthfeel was good, I just prefer more body with my stouts. However, for the year round warm weather in Sao Paulo this stout was be a good beer to drink on warmer days for those looking for more than typical adjuct beers.

CN was a great place, great food, and great beer! Hopefully will start a trend for more micros to be established in Brazil. (677 characters)

Nice american stout of a coffe color and ordinary foam, with no good retention.
Smell specially of coffe, with roasted barley but not exagerated.
The tase is similar but you can feel some extremely dark chocolate in the end and a nice but small bitterness.
Body is medium, the end is somewhat dry. (297 characters)

On-tap at the source, Cervejaria Nacional's darkest offering. On to the beer:

The tanned head and lots of lace provides an attractive contrast to this nearly black liquid with brown hues. Nose-wise, you can find characoal, barbecued meats, and dark chocolate.

The taste is a little lighter than I anticipated, but I also forgot this was just 4.6% ABV. Coffee beans and smoke lead the charge, and towards the trail end is a kiss of chocolate. Light in the mouth with an easy, comfortable body.

One more good one out of Cervejaria Nacional. A beer for all seasons. (567 characters)
