750ml bottle poured into a wide-mouth wine glass.

Hazy copper with ruby red highlights. Has 2 fingers of fluffy tan head.

Cherry, grape, raisin, Belgian yeast, candy sugar and booze.

Earthy Belgian yeastiness and peppery alcohol. Molasses and candy sugars. Lighter notes of black plum, fig, cherry and red grape. Notes of bourbon and dry charred oak.

Medium-light bodied, warming and smooth.

Complex and warming. Definitely a big step up from last years anniversary beer. I can't wait to see what's in store for next year.

A: Very hazy dark copper color, with a huge two finger off white head at the top that left a lot of lacing around the glass as you drank this one.

S: Lots of grapes on the nose, and brown sugar, a little bit of cherry and wine smell as well.

T: Lots of malty flavor, yeast, lot of sugar on the backbone, very sweet. Was getting a lot of bourbon on the tongue as well, warming.

M: Medium to Light bodied, barely any carbonation.

O: I aged this bottle for about a year and a half, I kind of wish I drank it right away because I think it would have been a little better, this was a good beer, lots of complex flavors.

Appearance: Pours a root beer brown color with a billowy, two inch head that leaves wispy lacing

Smell: Spice cake, vanilla, oak and vague cherry tones

Taste: Vanilla spice cake, up front, with boozy Bourbon tones building; after the swallow, there is a growing sweetness along with a cherry aspect that adds a different dimension

Mouthfeel: Full bodied with moderate to high carbonation

Overall: A very good beer that doesn't quite have the depth to be in the top echelon of the Belgian SDA style
