Pours a very cloudy, dark golden orange color with deep straw colored edges and a two finger frothy white head that slowly settles into a thick, lasting ring. Very good retention, taking a while to settle and coating the glass with large streaks of soapy lacing. Looks good.
Dank earthy hop aroma with resinous oils, fresh cut grass and pine needle along with subtle citrus/tropical fruit and boozy sweetness and a subtle summit/onion presence. As it warms, the dank wet hop notes stand out with kind buds, resinous oils, onion/scallion, pine needle and spruce tip. Really fresh, juicy, dank and earthy slightly overpowering the sweeter citrus hop notes. Underneath all of the dank, earthy buds, I'm picking up subtle tropical/citrus fruit with hints of grapefruit, pineapple and orange peel. Sweet caramel malt backbone with toffee, biscuit and graham cracker. Not as complex as a result. More dank with a touch of summit but the sweet tropical fruit notes are hindered and the malt presence in the nose is stronger than preferred.
Thankfully the flavor profile is a bit more complex than the nose suggests. There's a blast of dank, juicy hops up front with a nice balance of earthy resinous oils, pine needle and spruce tip bitterness. The dry bitterness lingers but doesn't dominate the palate. Subtle tropical fruit sweetness with hints of tart grapefruit, pineapple and citrus rind. Sweet malt backbone with caramel, toffee, bread and biscuit. Not quite as complex or juicy as expected but this is still a pretty solid beer. Could use more tropical fruit sweetness and a less aggressive malt backbone.

On draft at the Kane Anniversary party. This is even better than the regular Overhead. Killer Mosaic aroma, super dank hop flavor - I wish this variant were available more often.

A: A nice hazy orange color, with a finger of off white head at the top, leaves some decent lacing around the glass.
S: Lots tropical fruit and floral notes, the mosaic hops give it a different nose for sure compared to the regular Overhead. Very sweet nose.
T: Taste is just like the nose with a little more bitterness than its predecessor, strong notes of tropical fruit.
M: Sticky, Medium Bodied, good amount of carbonation.
O: Overall a very tasty beer, definitely sessionable and enjoyable, well balanced and smooth.
