I would've given this higher marks if I could actually taste the vanilla bean. It was a phenomenal beer overall but if you're going to advertise it with Madagascar vanilla beans then it seems only fair it shouldn't receive a super high score on Taste if there is none present.

Poured from a 750mL bottle into a Kane Tulip Glass. Acquired in a trade.
Pours a thick, inky, opaque black body with a deep brown one finger head that reduces fairly quickly, leaving spotty lacing and a ring of retention.
Aromas are heavy on the bourbon, very whiskey forward, with a light chocolate-vanilla aroma, judging by the aromas I think this will be sweet.
Upon sipping, sweet milk chocolate upfront, mingled with caramel-bourbon, sweet toffee, light vanilla on the follow through, finished by roasty charred malt, coffee-like.
Rich, thick mouthfeel, very smooth and silky, low carbonation, defintiely the shining point of this beer.
This was a big one.. this highlight of this beer was the oily, rich look and feel, and the aromas and flavors were there as well. Would have liked a little more vanilla, but overall excellent.

Vanilla bomb but in a good way. Way better than vanilla rye. Not an artificial vanilla taste. Great brew. Glad to have gotten a bottle.

Was lucky enough to get a pour from Glen from Kane at an event. Thanks man! This beers pours pitch black with a khaki to brown head, good looking on the eyes. The smell is a perfect mix of bourbon, vanilla, some sweet cocoa, and slight oak. The taste is even better. The sweet cocoa base with a hint of coffee hits first, before a wave of bourbon and vanilla come in. The vanilla mixes with the oak tannin flavor to make a brilliant flavor. The beer finishes smooth, creamy, and no boozy ness whatsoever. This reminds me of kbs, with some added vanilla, and a more rounded out flavor overall. I'd have to say this is the best barrel aged beer I've ever had. Absolutely cannot wait for this year's release.
