1L growler straight from the brewery, filled on 3/15/2014, consumed via Wicked Weed tulip snifter on 3/18/2014..

A: Your basic, very dark brown stout. Nice bubbly 1-inch head of mocha-colored head that disappears rather quickly. No lacing at all.

S: Worst part of the beer. Even as it warms it's a struggle to get much from the nose other than a faint trace of cocoa, and that's about it. Luckily it tastes a lot better.

T/M: Imagine if Cocoa Pebbles was a beer. This would be that beer. Layer upon layer of rich, chocolate, mocha, as the adjunct would indicate it should be. Slight coffee grind finish but not a whole lot more. Delicious if you love rich mocha-flavored beer, boring if not. It seemed to have a really thin body when it was too cold, but let it warm and you will be rewarded. A very nice beer.

O: One of the better variants they tapped that day, only to this taster's palate outdone by Coconut, Mint Chocolate Chip & maybe Creamsicle (yes, Creamsicle!). Somewhat one-dimensional, but what did you think it would be? Worth trying.
