A4 a deep red almost black, 2 fingers of head
S3.5 a grape like scent, boozy, malty
T3.75 this is a typical Belgian quad profile with a weird fruity bitterness.
M3.5 full body, boozy warmth, medium carbonation
O3.5 not really my style, but definitely not bad. I enjoy their iPa's much more though

32 oz Growler from Spirits Unlimited

Appearance: A nice dark amber brown color, not too much head or lacing, but I think that might be due to the nature of the growler

Smell: Sweet with apples, plums, nice malts, and some yeast spice

Taste: Fruity, with apple being the forefront, some plum, raisins, and a beautiful yeast signature that I can't quite describe

Mouthfeel: Medium to full body, low (but appropriate) carbonation

Overall: I think the only thing lost to the growler was some head. It still had appropriate carbonation for drinkability, though I wouldn't want to save this growler for a second day. First taste brought back memories of the first time I tried Ommegang's Abbey Ale. This is fantastic, and I personally think Kane has a bright future ahead if they can pull off stuff like this regularly. This brew just solidified my decision to make 2014 the year of the local brewery.
