Kane Brewing kicks butt! I love these guys, Solitude is such an awesome brew. Ok on too Malus. This Apple Cider monster clocks in at 9.50% and the ABV is well hidden. The beer pours a really foamy head which took a while to calm down. The aroma was cider up front, a very subtle tart followed by super ripe sweetness with some brown sugar. I could drink a lot of this. Ice cold this beer rocks! so when drinking it make sure it's cold. Not as good if it warms. I would buy this again, it's like Positive Contact...it's good.

Bottom Line: I love Kane Brewing! Malus is a good brew!

big thanks to Ed5388 for this one. poured cold and fast to a 14oz snifter a nice candied copper to brown with a finger and a half bubbly, long lasting tan head.

aroma of tart apples, cloves and a hint of overripe banana.

medium bodied, huge carbonation, nearly champagne style bubbles all over the palate as soon as the sip passes the lips.

cider way up front, a very subtle tart followed by super overripe sweetness, brown sugar, hints of spices.

the abv is hidden well, a nice sipper.

dark color with big foamy head which settles down to a thin layer.

smell of spice and apple

first taste attacked sour taste buds. Apple dominates the taste with a hint of raisins and in the finish, dry champagne yeast.

Medium body, carbonation is good. When I opened the bottle an impressive sound of the cork popped. Gases were visible as they escaped from the top.

it was an interesting beer. Next year I will try this one during the colder months and I will also age another bottle. This bottle was cellared for 9 months.
