Overhead is an American-style Imperial IPA. This beer is loaded with our favorite hops; Amarillo, Columbus, Centennial and Simcoe. It’s bittered with a gigantic charge of Columbus and Simcoe early in the kettle that is followed by several rounds of late kettle and whirlpool hops using Amarillo, Centennial and Simcoe. In the end, Overhead is brewed with over 5 pounds of hops per barrel which includes two rounds of dry hopping to create a cascade of pine, resin and citrus hop flavors that consume your palate. Although we brew Overhead with the same imported Pilsner and light crystal malts as Head High and ferment it with our house ale strain to produce a dry crisp finish, this blend of different hops creates an entirely new experience all its own.

Poured from a pint can, the beer is an attractive one with a hazy yellow-orange body, fluffy initial head and very good lacing.

Aroma is citrus, pine and lemon notes. Taste follows nose adding a more assertive citrus-grapefruit flavor along with a nice bitterness.

Mouthfeel is excellent with solid carbonation and a creamy feel. Finish dries things up nicely.

Pint can in a long stemmed tulip IPA glass.

Unfiltered haze looking orange colored brew. Foamy white cap, 1-plus F, sticky lacing.

Aromas are subtle and clean; toasty wheat, dank pine, lemon, white peach, and mild alcohol note.

Flavors are light malt, citrus blend, pine, and more stone fruit.

Medium-plus bodied with a touch of 8.2% alcohol abv. Not sweet. Mild bitterness at 100 plus IBU is Heady-esque.

Amped up Head High that works.

Canned 5/2/22. Very fresh!
hazy to opaque with a lot of foam that quickly dissapates. Strong but hard to hold onto nose.... Definitely alot of pine and citrus, specifically grapefruit. Nice effervescence not too much not to little. Taste is light, you can tell there's pilsner malt. Bitter ness is right, not overwhelming and I can still taste the malts, finish is very dry and leaves a pleasant, bitter aftertaste.

Served in a tulip hurricane glass from the can.

Appearance: very hazy body but almost transparent which you could see very easily as you pour the beer into the glass, creating a white head which is roughly one full finger's length off the body.

Smell: grapefruit skin smell which comes and goes to the nostrils but it's still appetizing.

Taste: yellow grapefruit juice mixed with light lemon and I'm feeling a parsley note to the brew. You can say it's lemongrass but not as potent semi sweet but more better and malty none of the less.

Mouth: medium to full carbonation with a very sticky body and it does come off a bit dry but the stickiness goes linger.

Overall: great gifts for my father-in-law, if you are into ipa's I personally think this is a pretty decent grab. As usual my first one of the night, salud.

16oz can served in a tulip. Received from @MacMalt in BIF #14. Dated 09/01/21.

Pours a moderately hazy light yellow with a medium sized head that turns into a coarse continent of bubbles clinging to one side of the glass. Smell is lemon and citrus, slight dankness, maybe a hint of melon rind.

Taste is more melon forward than I expected. Though it has a deep and powerful resin-bitter finish, which I really like. Make me think of unripe citrus fruit. Moderate sweetness is there (though dominated by that bitterness), maybe a floral tinge to it.

Mouthfeel is light, dry, kind of crisp. Overall, very enjoyable beer.

From a 3-week-old can, pours a hazy orange. Big off-white head leaves plenty of pretty lacing. Smell and taste are bursting with hops, a nice combination of fruit and resinous pine. Good bitterness in the finish. Outstanding beer, love it. Great label design too.
