Our imperial milk porter brewed with Rook Coffee Roasters dark roast Sumatra coffee. We added a healthy amount of milk sugar to an already complex, dark malt bill to sweeten and balance the bold flavors and roasty bitterness of the coffee. The result of this collaboration is a full bodied porter with big bold flavors and remarkable smoothness.

Kane Brewing's Morning Bell Imperial Porter is a delicious and well-crafted beer that is perfect for those who enjoy a rich and smooth flavor. This beer has a deep, dark color and a rich aroma that is sure to impress. The taste is smooth and creamy, with a combination of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt flavors. The bitterness of the hops is perfectly balanced with the sweetness of the malt, creating a truly enjoyable drinking experience.

One of the standout features of Morning Bell is its smooth and creamy mouthfeel. This is due to the use of high-quality ingredients, including specialty malts and hops, which come together to create a truly luxurious drinking experience. The beer is medium-bodied, making it easy to drink, yet full-flavored, so it will satisfy even the most discerning of palates.

In terms of the appearance, Morning Bell has a beautiful, deep, dark color that is inviting and alluring. The head is creamy and persistent, adding to the overall appearance of the beer. The beer is also well carbonated, giving it a pleasing, bubbly texture.

Overall, I would highly recommend Morning Bell to anyone who is looking for a delicious and well-crafted beer. Whether you're a fan of dark beers or just looking for something new to try, this porter is sure to impress. I'm not sure what else you would want from an Imperial Milk Porter with coffee. Smooth, not too sweet, not too bitter. The right amount of roast with a nice creamy feel. Carbonation is light but noticeable. I've enjoyed every Kane stout or porter I've ever had and this is no exception.

Pour black with minimal leakage on the edges, and a rich, creamy tan head that provides a surprising amount of lacing. The nose features rich milk chocolate and loads of roasty coffee aromas.

Like a container ship full of roasty coffee aromas. Wow.

The rich milk chocolate flavor is forward on the taste, which I expected with the “brewed with lactose” note on the bottle, but it is that decadent, roasty coffee flavor that cranks this imperial milk porter up to 12. If the coffee wasn’t so assertive, this would approach Cloyingville, but the coffee is that assertive, and is SOOOOOO delicious.

Note: I don’t like coffee as a stand alone drink - at all. Had maybe 10 cups in my nearly 60 years. But I do enjoy coffee in a big porter/stout, and this one is exquisite, IMHO.

The rich, creamy mouthfeel is the icing on the coffee cake I’m loving. Kane is world class cubed, and this beer is yet another example why.

Typical of a porter in color with a nice head that dissipates quickly into a thin glass gripping lacing. Nose is dark coffee without the bitter head. Taste is coffee with a smooth sweetness feeling due to the lactose I am guessing. Not much of a follow through. Good porter.

Dark brown oily appearance with a tan head that recedes slowly to a collar, moderate retention, nice lacing. Big coffee and chocolate notes. Thick body, moderate carbonation. So smooth, great nose, and not overly sweet!

Decide between beer and coffee no more. Kane Brewing teams up with Rook Coffee Roasters for what culminate in a creamy, boozy cappuccino, the duo brews an imperial porter and simply slathers it with milk sugars and coffee.

With the viscosity of milkshake and in a very dark brown tone, Morning Bell patiently separates its beer from froth in nearly cascading action. As its creamy mousse builds upon the rim, a cream-filled scent of vanilla, chocolate, nougat and java milkshake all come to mind. In similar fashion, the first sip reveals a decadently malted taste of malted milk chocolate candies, sweet latte, vanilla cream and marshmallow.

With full saturation of the tastebuds, the middle palate becomes easily seduced by the toasty sweetness that the Porter provides. Deliciously smooth with vanilla and cream, the edges of the roast are softened and the sweetness of caramel, toffee and sorghum take an edge off of the moderate roast. As a light coffee bitterness builds toward the end, the beer balances with a toastier, nuttier edge.

Full, creamy and lavish on the tongue, Morning Bell is a nearly perfect coffee beer that uses Porter instead of Stout to sell the finer nuances of coffee better. Smooth, effortless and relaxed on the senses, the beer finishes malty-sweet and with a long toasty-sweet aftertaste with hints of kahlua.

Thank you TheGent for this
32 oz crowler poured into a tulip

A- Black with a three finger mocha head.

S- Roasted coffee, chocolate, some caramel, roasted malts, some lactose.

T- Chocolate, coffee, lactose, roasted malts, hints of dark fruits.

M- Smooth, medium to full body.

O- An excellent coffee porter, very easy to drink. I really like how this comes together and is balanced. Just as good as the vanilla version and I feel this would be great in bourbon barrels
