Rich semi sweet aroma this porter is amazing! pours a beautiful head with a deep dark color. The taste is amazing! and excellent porter. The mouthfeel is perfect, what an incredible beer. Leave's a wonderful aftertaste this beer could be drank all night long. The coffee is subtle but still recognizable. If you like porters this masterpiece is waiting for you. I really like this and would purchase again. Bravo Kane Brewing! Bravo!
Bottom Line: Amazing Porter that stands tall against all opposition.

Graciously provided by our host (Branden) at the recent PDX bottle share at growler guys.
The beer pours a very dark brown color with good head retention and lacing. On the nose, this beer is pretty attractrive, showcasing considerable dark chocolate, light vanilla, some roasty malt and, of course, coffee. The flavor profile replicated the nose pretty closely in this moderately sweet porter, with the coffee ground flavor really front and center. There was almost some grittiness in the mouthfeel, giving one more of that coffee ground impression. Mouthfeel is fairly smooth otherwise, and the finish was very long. Alcohol was barely noticeable, and I was surprised to learn that it was up around 9%.
My first experience with this brewery, but so far what I've had, I've liked.

Bottle pour at the pre-FWIBF bottle share held at the Adelaide Inn in Paso Robles, CA.
Pours an opaque super dark brown with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa, and coffee aromas. Taste is much the same with cocoa and coffee flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with solid aromas and flavors all around.

Tasting notes from last night at Cork City in Hoboken, NJ. Draft.
A: Opaque brown with a beige head that settles to a thin veil of foam. Some lacing.
S: Coffee, coffee, coffee.
T: Strong overtones of coffee. Modestly bitter. A hint of chocolate. Mocha. Some sweeter notes on the finish including vanilla, birch beer.
M: Round and smooth. Minimal carbonation.
D: Extremely drinkable at 9%. No hint of booze. One of the more coffee forward porters I've tasted. Absolutely delicious.
