On Tap on 8/27/2013

A-Pours a cloudy and murky, but glowing with an effervescent orange color. I tend to really like beers that look like this.

S- Smell is really great, tons of fresh hops even when not directly trying to smell. Had this next to their DIPA and the smell was just as powerful.

T/F- This is where this beer really amazed me. When thinking of it just as a beer, its amazing and packed with flavor you'd expect from a IPA/DIPA, but when thinking about this as a "Session IPA", it blows away all of the offers I have had (ie, All Day IPA, Fractional, ect). The taste if on par with any big bold beer, and the body is amazing for being such a low ABV IPA, no watery feel what so ever, which I believe is the result of the flaked oats.

O- I love any hoppy beer Kane puts out and this is no exception. Such a smooth and fresh hop smell and taste throughout. I would love to see this canned some day.

Kane ripple. Pours light gold, thick creamy foam. Grapefruit nose, some earthy bitter. Light taste refreshing. Hoppy hints below. Nice summer IPA. 4 375 375 375 375

Had the privilege of trying this at the first tap offering of this gem from Kane. I cannot thank this brewery enough for what they're doing for the sate of NJ.

Pours a cloudy hay color. Smells so damn intoxicating. There are tropical notes everywhere. Taste follows in the same fashion. Something about the oats and Amarillo hops!

Love this beer!

Growler into a dimpled mug.

A- This beer s beautiful. It's cloudy, hazy, bright and a colorful orange all at once. Bubbles are visible through the clouds, producing a big fluffy white head that tapers slowly and leaves serious lacing.

S- The aroma is all of solid hop punches; citrus and floral. There's a slight note of alcohol but the hops lead the way.

T-Citrus hops upfront with some light sweet malts on the back end. The flavor takes on more of the APA as the glass empties.

M- Thick. There is a lot of body in this 4.6% abv brew. It comes from the addition of flaked oats, I guess. There's a give and take between the hop bite and the malts, balanced. Good carbonation, too.

O- It's no surprise that this is a strong offering, Kane Brewing consistently delivers the goods.
This has so much body for a low abv, hoppy session ale, it's amazing.

Appearance - Pours a hazy bright orange, has a tropical look to it. LOOKS PERFECT!

Smell - Very complex tropical hop aroma. Tons of fruity hops.

Taste - incredible smooth and delicious. Heavily hopped finish.

Mouthfeel - Light mouthfeel, very wet on the palate. Tropical fruity hops linger on the palate afterwards.

Overall - Another great beer from Kane!

From 11/16/13 notes. On tap at the brewery.

a - Pours a somewhat clear bright yellow color with one inch of bright white head and moderate carbonation evident.

s - Smells of citrus hops, grains, pale malts, fruity malts, grapefruit, and light tropical fruits. Nice nose, big citrus up front followed by a lot of other fruits.

t - Tastes of citrus hops, floral hops, lemon zest, grapefruit, fruity malts, earthy notes, pale malts, grains, dough, and bread. Little hoppier than the nose.

m - Medium body and moderate carbonation. Very easy to drink.

o - Overall a very nice APA; not a hop bomb like some are but a nice balance of citrus hops and fruity malts. Very easy drinking; while I like Head High and Overhead better, I could see a lot of non-IPA lovers loving this one even more.

Golden honey color, thick white head fades, nice lacing down the glass. Tropical fruity nose with some citrus in the back. Soft malt flavors are the backdrop to a wave of fruity and grapefruit focused flavor with a hint of cake like sweetness from the malt and some pine on the finish. Nice light feel, crisp, and dry on the finish. Overall one of the better session ales with big fruity flavors.

A - pours a completely cloudy ruddy orange. Almost burnt sienna (thanks crayola!). Full white pillowy foam rises up slowly. Leaves thick webs of lacing.

S - aroma is grassy and fruity. Lots of layered fruit characters. Citrus, passion fruit, gooseberry, and mango. Grassiness and hints of leafy herbs. Fluffy, doughy malt profile rounds it out nicely.

T - lightly sweet doughy bread. Zesty citrus bitterness comes through easily. Sweet orange peel, mango, papaya and hints of white grapes. Backend is more intensely bitter but the dry finish keeps it on the refreshing side.

M - lighter side of medium bodied. Creamy texture. High carb.

O - best beer from Kane yet. Low abv, malt is full yet on the drier side. And tons of hops. I love it.
