Batch#1 750ml Bottle poured from bottle on 9/24/2013
A- Typical Saison, hazy dark orange turning bright yellow as light hits from different angle
S- A sweet smell with a hint of Honey, but the Saison yeast is more prominent
T/M- Saisons are a hit or miss for me, but this one is really good. Drinks like a typical Saison but the added honey adds more complexity that I like in these style beers. As the beer warms the honey becomes more noticeable and makes me wanting more. Mouthfeel is moderate to low carbonation which actually works nice. Only knock on the beer is a slighty heavy body for the style.
O- I feel like a broken record when I say "Kane has done it again" but it seems like its few and far between the make a bad beer. Apiary is a beautiful representation of what a Saison is and can be. I shared this bottle with beer lovers and beer haters, and this one was enjoyed by all.

A really great saison, the honey is pronounced, but subtle enough to not get in the way of this great classic saison. Saisons are not my goto style, but I went back and bought 6 more bottles of this stuff after finishing off the 1 bottle I had. For someone's first foray into saisons this is a great start, but also as great for the seasoned saison drinker. Kudso Kane, another great brew!

750ml C&C bottle poured into a tulip.
Hazy gold with 2 fingers of white head. Good retention and low carbonation. A nice layer of lacing is left around the glass.
Honey, potpourri and peach. Hints of golden apple and lemon.
Potpourri, dried hay and a light earthy funk. Honey sweetness pushes through along with spent grains, peach and golden apple. Light notes of lemongrass hoppiness as well as hints of coriander and black peppercorn.
Medium-light bodied, semi-dry, crisp and refreshing.
Decent enough Saison. You can tell that the honey that was used was high quality and that really helped to create a balanced beer.
