Great vibe but gets a bit hot in summer. Beers are awesome and good selection but could vary more from week to week. Everyone is helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. As mentioned selection is good but growler fills tend to be a bit more limited. Overall an awesome spot to visit.

Beautiful place inside, surrounded by barrel after barrel. Stellar selection of barrel aged beers every time I've visited, prices fairly priced. Shame they haven't started canning until recently.

Super - friendly crew met us on the way in (with my gaggle of kids) and welcomed us. Totally laid back joint, with an outer bar (seemingly for growler fills and selling merchandise) and large inner area with picnic tables and barrell high tops. Relaxed and full of beer nerds. Inner area is in the actual brew house itself,so I got to geek out on some stainless. Bartenders, host, etc were very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. The beers were so good, and a decent variety of about 9 different brews. Tried Head High, Overhead, Solitude, Morning Bell, and BA Silent Nights 2013. Delicious all, and unfortunately not all available for growler fills. Took home 64oz of Overhead. If you are in NJ, don't miss out on Kane. Class act from my experience.

Huge serving area with picnic tables and standing tables. Great view of the brewery and the upcoming casks.

Love their beers

Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. More then happy to answer questions. Been there for a very crowded St. Patricks Celebration featuring many Port Omna variations and on regular weekends. Very smoothly run.

They have all the regular beets you can find on tap and always a few special releases.

Growlers are available in one and two liters.

You have to know where this place is - you will not stumble upon it. Nice, big 'drinking' area with barrels ANTEAD all around. And most important - very tasty beer.

My favorite brewery in NJ. they make great beers, and the guys working there are great. tasting room is small but inviting. Only thing is they dont have the greatest variety, but what they do have is all top notch quality. They dont bottle for the most part but i never mind driving over to get a growler fill and taste stuff

Always at least 2-3 hop labs or special releases on tap to try. A night to end all dawns is ridiculous.

Good enough, but just average selection and appearance.

V: People in jackets, cold.

Q: OK, general serving area very cold (almost feels like it's outside) and warehousey. Nice bar and tap heads, though. Barrels litter the sides of the warehouse.

Ser: Alright, lady at the first counter was nice enough. Liked the servers at Carton a little bit more, though (cozier atmosphere as well).

Sel: Only four beers. Not good.

O: OK, probably won't go again, though.

Great beer, special beers for on-tap only. Fun vibe with flights, standing tables make of barrels, and picnic tables, no food.

Great atmosphere once you get into the brewery. Located in an industrial complex and was a bit difficult to find at first. Beers are top notch

I dare you to find another brewery that has a more "we don't do this for the money" business approach than Kane Brewing Company.

They very rarely bottle any of their beers, they're only open two days out of the week, they're tucked inconspicuously inside an industrial park behind a Costco that people have to squint their eyes to find, and their year-round offerings only consist of 2-3 beers, which you mostly likely won't try to consume an excess of on their premises because they don't take kindly to people eating at the brewery.

Despite everything they have going against them, Kane is, and strives to be, the quintessential neighborhood brewery. Even with the limited number of beers they offer, all of their beers are above and beyond what you'd expect from the same state where Flying Fish and River Horse are considered "local favorites" -- Please let me know if you find a better IPA produced from this state than Head High/Over High and their variants. Or a better coffee stout than Kane's Morning Bell (and other variants.)

Kane also has a tendency to keep their loyal customers on their toes by churning out unconventional yet surprisingly delicious variants of their own beer, (they most recently put out a session beer using Nelson Sauvin hops from New Zealand) and it probably wouldn't be very shrewd of me if I neglected to mention that New Jersey probably hasn't seen a more hyped-up beer than Kane's A Night To End All Dawns,

For a brewery with a very limited distribution chain, Kane has some very snazzy merchandise and growlers that you can purchase both at the front and back bars; unlike other pickier breweries, Kane will also be more than happy to fill growlers from other breweries, and doesn't seem to impose a limit on how many you can fill in one trip (when I asked one of the staff members standing behind the growler fill station what the limit of beer I can take out of Kane was, he pulled out his calculator and typed in "2112 oz" for me)

Not the greatest place to sit and stay a while, but a definite must visit for anyone in need of a reminder that one need not necessarily travel all the way to Vermont to grab some quality beer.

Get off the highway and drive past Wegmans(!!) a little ways down that side road and you are at Kane. Located in an industrial complex in a nondescript industrial building. Entrance is in the front, but I found a secret back door (woops!). Open two days a week (boo!) at this writing they have a nice little taproom (which gets crowded, but people move on) and the main area is at the bar (just made bigger) amongst the brewing beer. They rip no one off at $5 for a full pour and growler fills are priced by what you get (and no lectures on dirty growlers or missing caps- the clean the growlers and give you a new cap). Their beers that I have had, Head High, Omna, Overhead and Morning Bell are all world class. The brewers and the owners are always there and everyone is just so damn nice, I just love this place and the beach is ten minutes away!

I visited Kane during the '14 Night To End All Dawns debacle. What was to be a quick visit and emptying of the wallet, turned into a 2-hour wait in line, 2 hours at the bar, and going home with more money but less beer than I expected. In short, Kane not only underestimated the insanity of the beer scene when it comes to bottles releases, but they also did nothing to remedy the cluster**** by lowering bottle limits. So the crowd then became a mix of gluttonous hoarders and depressed shut-outs. I was more impartial, as I was really only in town because I was going to see King's X at the Starland later that night. Kane was only stop one for my day, though thanks to the situation, it ended up being much more than that. I mean, yes, it sucked I didn't get all the bottles I wanted to, but I can always wait until next time. With the money they brought in, there's no way they won't produce those beers again.

Anyway, in a more objective review, Kane pretty much bears no resemblance to a brewery from the outside as you're driving down the road. Looks just like an office building, and even when you first walk in, it's a typical office foyer with some other business in the other half of the building. But take a few more steps and you'll find a small bar and growler filling station, with lots of merch to look at. Walking through the next door, you'll find the brewery, and a much larger bar; this is where the bottles were sold, and where all the special beers were tapped. I don't know exactly how many beers were on, but it was a lot, and thankfully, with so many goodies to choose from, they offered sampler sizes, and flights. I've had a lot of beer from NJ at this point, and really the state doesn't have too much to offer in terms of quality comparable to the better breweries in the US. But that said, Kane is up there, making really good brews, and not only experimenting, but doing experiments that actually yield good results (I cite the cinnamon maple Morning Bell as an example). There's no other way to say it: they are the best brewery in NJ, and by far.

I don't think I really got a good feeling for the service on this day, since no one, including the brewery, expected the whirlwind of insanity that occurred. But despite the totally unfair bottle limits--which they should have changed drastically as soon as they saw that line out front in the morning--the staff was on the ball. Once inside, all the lines moved pretty fast, and everyone was keeping up with the bustling activity. My rating for service will increase quite a bit if they set reasonable bottle limits for their next release.

Kane is a definite must-visit if you're anywhere remotely in the area. I'm not sure what their tap line-up is like on non-event days, but considering even their regular beers are pretty good, the brewery is worth checking out for sure.

Awesome brewery. Would appreciate more variety, though. Several months can go by with the same 3-4 stuff on tap...

I have visited Kane over 15 times, so I felt inclined to give it a proper review.

Atmosphere: Very small, but never overcrowded where you feel cramped. When you walk in you are greeted with a small tap room with shirts, glasses, hats, growlers, ect.. with about 6 taps. As you walk into the brewery you are given the bare bones, all the brewing equipment, about 30 barrels, bunch of picnic benches and barrels for seating. There is also another draft station where you can get all their one offs and smaller batch beers.

Quality: Awesome! Every beer I have had from Kane has been a winner. Their IPAs are a force to be recon with, and their barrel aged beers are also really impressive.

Service: Always friendly and prompt, that's all I really ask for. As I overhear others ask about styles and such, they are more than willing to give advice.

Selection: Really amazing for being such a small brewery. Usually 12 or 13 (can't remember) taps available with all their year round beers, small batch, barrel beers, and a nitro handle. They usually have a bottle available as well, sometimes more.

Food: Non existent, eat before hand. They have a large lot in the back of the brewery where I think a food truck would kill it in the summers.

Value: Usually all full pours are $5, just varying portion sizes. Flights are $6 for 4 4oz samples or anything on tap.

Overall: I love this place and their is a reason I keep going back and back. If anyone is in the area or in need of a destination, I highly recommend Kane Brewing Company.

Atmosphere: The building is a shared use building, with a shared entry way with another business. Once you go through the internal entry way, you are greeted with a nice and inviting tap room. Well lit, nicely finished, and decently open. Beyond the initial tap room is a wide open brewing room, with tables to sit while you have beer, as well as another bar with a couple extra taps. This room is more utilitarian, and much cooler (temp), but they have some nice wood picnic tables, and some upright barrels. The barrels they use for aging beer are near the bar. The brewing equipment is roped off in one section.A really cool place to go, and a fun place to try beer

Quality: All the glassware and tasting trays are good quality, growlers available are quality swing tops, and the beer is top notch

Service: It can get busy, but you can always manage to get more beers at a reasonable pace at either bar.

Selection: 11 different brews on tap between the two bars (one is a nitro tap of a brew thats on regular tap as well). One beer available in bottles at this time, but that apparently varies based on what has been recently bottled. Merchandise available, and 1L and 2L growlers available (though not all taps are available for growler fills)

Food: None available, I suggest eating before you get there

Value: Reasonably priced, most growler fills were $7/$12, with a few being more expensive at $11/$20. I feel it is a good value for the quality you get

Overall: I think this is an excellent place to stop, especially since it is one of the best places to pick up beer from Kane. If you're in the area, I highly recommend checking it out.
