Flip top bottle fill acquired in trade with pilsnerpete (thanks!).
Poured a dark brown color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of sweat, bananas, bubble gum, and some spices. Tastes of chocolate, bananas, and wheat. There was just something about this that turned me off to it. Body was thin and watery.

Appearance: Opaque tan/brown with thick tan frothy head that laced forever.
Smell: Cloves, banana, sweet malt.
Taste: Cloves and banana. Banana aftertaste. Sweet malt. Exquisite balance.
Mouthfeel: Incredibly smooth with just the right amount of carbonation.
Drinkability: Yes (can't think of any better way to say it).
Comments: Shared the experience of drinking this beer with VENOM, Bierman9, JohnnyP, malto, Davo, and slander. Was just added to the Black Forest lineup on 3/28/03. Despite the few words I used above to describe this beer, it was outstanding nevertheless. The aroma and appearance were so inviting, and the taste was right on. I had a few of these that day. I can't wait to have more.

If this bier is good enough to be # 1500 for VENOM, it's good enough for me! Shared a Prosit while drinking this bier with VENOM, JohnnyP and Malto (Davo, Slander and Denali weren't in the Weizen mode, I believe!).
Poured into a Weissbier glass, this babe had a superb, tawny bronze color, with the expected cloudiness throughout. Head was a prodigious, rocky off-white mass atop the brew, lasting well and leaving decent lacing as well.
Upon having a whiff, I turned to VENOM, and we both exclaimed "Oh yeah!" Lovely combo of clove and banana, with a smidge of wheaty/malty sweetness. Quite pronounced and pleasing!
Body fell nicely into the medium range, and it was not overly prickly or carbonated, creating an enticing smoothness on the tongue.
The taste was wicked pissa! Slight malty sweetness, with a hint of chocolate, blends in with an abundant amount of clove and banana. Mmmm-mmm good! Lingering aftertaste, with even a suggestion of bubblegum at the finish.
Drinkability? Oh yeah! Noch eins, bitte!! Zum Wohl!!!
