Pours a clear golden color with a white head that leaves chunks of lacing.

Smells of malt sweetness with some grass and oak.

Tastes of a solid malt backbone with some oak and hop notes. Malts lead off with some sweetness leading into a bit of bread. Fruits come next where I pick up a bit of prickly pear. A bit of wheat sharpness comes next and adds to the fruits giving way to grapefruit. Oak comes towards the end before finishing with a grassy hop note.

Mouthfeel is medium-full with a smooth amount of carbonation.

Overall, this is okay, but there is too much going on. It does not feel cohesive, and is not worth the price ($13.65 for 750mL).

Clear amber colored ale with a good off-white colored head. The color reminds me of copper.

Smells mildly sweet and woody with a slight fruity scent. As close as I can ID it it is peach.

Starts out mildly sweet and fruity with a taste of cedar plank to it. Fruity flar that reminds me of peach ice cream.

Mouthfeel is good.

Overall a mild flavored strong ale.

A-rich amber with a white head. Very effervescent. Head lingers with thick white lacing
A-aroma is grass, pine, grapefruit. Followed by a light sweetness. Perhaps the prickly pear and grapefruit. Finishes with a slight booze and woodiness.
T-hop forward with a decent malt sweetness in the bAckground. What I assume is the green chili grapefruit prickly pear juice gives an interesting but subtle aftertaste. Finishes with a slight boozieness to dry it out. When warmer spicyibess from chilies is evident.
M-almost creamy but finishes dry. Lingering sweetness is welcome and not over powering
O-an interesting example of a strong ale. Sweet and boozy with light nuances in flavor throughout. A fun, drinkable detour that manages to not be overbearing.

Look: Pours a copper cloudy brew with decent but dissipating head that leaves webbed lacing on the glass.

Smell: Sweet fruity notes with funky wood and grass behind that and a faint wisp of bready malts.

Taste: A sweet strong brew with very present wood and earthy notes.. As the glass warms hops are present but, I would not consider this too hop forward. It is very well balanced and totally drinkable. A bit of boozy warmth hits the throat on the finish..

Feel: Very light mouthfeel.. Smooth on the palate.

Overall: A very well thought and balanced brew. The only con is the price point which comparable to other corked 750 ml beers in its class..

Appearance - pours a medium amber color with little to no lacing and head.

Smell - light aroma but you can pick up the oak barrels.

Taste - breads, slightly fruity with a grassy funkiness. Oak and wine barrels are present and it's slightly boozy as it finishes.

Mouthfeel - medium carbonation which dissipates on the tongue as quickly as it does when it's poured.

Overall - good light tasting ale for the alcohol content. It's hard to pick out the individual characteristics of this well blended ale but there are hints all the way through.
