Brewed with locally grown herbs and spices from The Gardens on Spring Creek, Trellis Garden Ale is a stroll through the garden in a glass – a sip of summer and a harvest of flavor. Coriander, cilantro, pineapple mint, lavender and rose petal bloom in this bright pale ale. Hoppy hints of citrus and fresh cut grass balance the malty sweetness and enhance the subtle floral spice for a refreshing finish. $1 from each bottle of Trellis Garden Ale sold will go to The Gardens on Spring Creek.

Wonderful golden-blonde color, head that's (almost too) good, very nice lacing and retention, and a healthy (but not obstructive) level of sediment from the bottle-conditioning. Really nice, expressive nose: nice elements of green pine-nettle, lemongrass, sweet basil, tarragon, and green coriander, as well as sweet white-pepper and thyme in softer tones. Very sweet flavor—the pineapple announces itself less in tart qualities than a cooked, almost grilled tropical sweetness—with subtle grassy bitters and and touch of coriander-seed (alongside the top-notes of coriander-chutney, minus the ginger and garlic that gives such a concoction bite), but not as vegetal a taste-profile as one would expect following that herbaceous-ass bouquet. Mostly, there are impressions of arugula and parsley that lingers with the medium-heavy thickness, which is maybe surprising for the color, but not considering the substantial bottle conditioning and what tastes like additions of invert-sugar (but is probably the pineapple asserting its saccharine elements).
Solid effort, largely delivering on its garden-herb guarantees—though not an extraordinary great beer, which is what I generally expect out of Odell.

Poured a hazy light amber color with finger width foamy head. Retention is mild. Lacing is good. Cilantro and lavender predominate the aroma. I do detect the pineapple as well. Tastes like a garden. Cilantro, lavender (very strong) taste. Not really my cup of tea. Light bodied. Moderate carbonation.
