Had on tap into a straight-sided pint.
A: Coppery orange color, with about a half inch of light colored head. Minimal lacing, but I wouldn't expect much for this style anyways.
S: Strong citrus and hop scent. More than I expected.
T: Crisp, clean, smooth. Definitely taste the citrus, more so than the hops. I actually really enjoyed the flavor on this one.
M: High level of carbonation leads this one to a pretty full-on feel.
D: I drank several of these while eating some hot wings. Great pairing, it's really refreshing!

12 oz. bottle poured into a Sam Adams perfect pint glass. Nice dark golden color with nice clarity to it, glows a lithe lighter when held up to the light. Nice white cap with really good lacing to it. Good looking beer.
Slight citrus hop spiciness coming through in the initial aromas. Very bready, like warm buttered biscuits, probably some roasted pale malts.
Taste is on par with the smell. Very bready, liked buttered home made bread that's a little well done around the crust. Primarily spicy hops come through here, but it's all pretty mild hop profile.
Mouthfeel is pretty good, a light medium with a nice balance. Good sweetness with only a touch of bitterness blended in with medium carbonation level. Buttery/oily feel that has a spicy dry finish. Really nice drinkable anytime brew. Safe beer to have lying around for anyone. Thanks Geoff for sending it!

5 Barrel - Pale Ale (5.2%) - O'Dell Brewing Co. (Colorado)
App: Pours a rich amber, with color similar to canned pumpkin. Very tight and creamy one finger head settles slow and even leaving high, dense lacing all around the glass.
Smell: Mild nose of citrusy hops, ornamental orange, buttery toffee from caramel malts. Bouquet is pretty normal. Pleasant and well balanced.
Taste: Herbal, sweet and a touch of piney hops are the focal point of this brew. Very slight hints of basil, thyme, and soil. A touch of lemony sorrel. Malt presence is forward, but complicated as to let the earthy subtleties of the beers hops really shine. Bitterness is assertive, but not as piney as some other APAs. This beer is pretty damned good.
Mouth: Creamy and full bodied, enough so to support acidity of the hops profile. Carbonation is pretty high which sort of lifts the heavy hops bitterness off your palate and lets their true flavors shine.
Home tasting, 12oz bottle into Snifter. 1/19/14
