A leftover fro WBF in Durham!
Pours a slightly hazy straw color with almost no head after a decent pour.
Smells very balanced and easy going. Lageresque!
Tastes like a subdued GL Commodore Perry. Slight bittering hops, and piney hops are there for aroma's sake. Guess theyre going for balance with this thing. Caramel malts are a welcome addition, and make it drinkable. The balance is what I think Ive been missing in a Pale Ale. The bittering hops are a nice compliment to the malts, but it really needs so aroma and flavor hops to make it feel more like an ale and less like a lager.
The flavors kind of dance around your tongue then disappear just as fast as the came. A lingering bitterness lets you know the hops are there.
A very solid Pale Ale.

On tap at the Odell Brewery - Ft. Collins, CO - June 17, 2013 (Review from my notes)
A - Classic Golden color, with 1 finger of head, and tons of lace left on the glass
A - Nice light hop aroma.
T - West coast pale ale. Hoppy pale ale. Light hop kick and nice balance with the malts
M - Medium bodied, well carbonated
O - A great tasting light pale ale.
