Tulip glass. Dated 7/25/12, so almost too late.
Gentle pour pulls a low white head that quickly dissipates. Nice golden color, a haze which clears as it warms. Active effervescence. Aroma is grainy, grassy and overlaid with continental hops (I ain't calling them noble anymore). Taste is more malty than I expected. It doesn't have the same crisp bite as a regular pilsner. Solid, but I do enjoy that crispness. The feel is thicker, as expected for a "double". Nice effervescence in the mouth.
I wish they had a regular pilsner as the extra heft isn't worth it.

On draft at the Odell Brewery June 2013
A - Clear golden, 1/2 finger of head, tons of sticky lace left on glass
A - Huge malt character, pilsnerish. Bit of a hop kick too.
T - Sweet and tasty! Malty.
M - Well carbonated, smooth.
O - Perfect take on a double pilsner: sweet, malty, easy to drink.
