Poured into a pint glass. Beautiful transparent straw/gold color glow. A finger width or so of white head that quickly dissipated to a thin layer of bubbles leaving lacing on the inside of the glass and a thick ring.
Smells light and citrusy, more orange than grapefruit, and not much grassiness over a light fresh bread scent.
Tastes like it smells. Has an easy light bread taste quickly followed with refreshing citrus and slightly floral notes. The carbonation was really good on a warm day, just enough to be refreshing with the slight tang. The hops finish bright, but not quite as strong as I like.
Felt slightly oily, but over all pleasant. Thin and a little bubbly.
Over all I think it's a well balanced beer and tastes fantastic. It would be easy to forget it's not just a lighter pale ale though.

A: Pours a clear copper/orange color. A dense, pillowing white head rises to over two fingers. Excellent retention, and rings of lace left all the way down the glass. This is a looker.
S: Very aromatic. Floral and grassy up front, light piny and tree sap aromas. A honey sweetness to balances everything out. I substantial, but not overpowering bitterness lingers.
T: Really well balanced here. Floral and grassy hops up front. That gives way to a lightly resinous character. Again, I get a honey sweetness which makes for a great balance. Lingering fruity flavor, like a honey do cantaloupe, and some bitterness. Well done.
M/D: A medium body with a good effervescent bite. Crisp carbonation and so clean. This drinks so much easier than the 7% would make me believe. With such a great balance this is so easy to drink.
This has always been one of the standard bearers from the style. I am not a hop head in the least, but the balance between the hops and light honey like sweetness is great. Really enjoyable, and highly recommended.
