12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Received this in the Tickers BIF from Phelps. Thanks for this want.

A: Golden yellow, with a slight haze. One finger white head, fairly thick, with great retention and nice lacing down the glass as you drink.

S: Nice fresh citrus hops. Grapefruit, apricot, a touch of lemon lime, and some orange peels. Nice caramel comes through blending with a faint touch of floral hops.

T: Sweet caramel upfront. Not super bitter but a good hit of citrus bitterness. Very biscuity in the finish, with a nice flavor of floral hops coming through.

M: Medium bodied with lighter carbonation. Pretty creamy. not real dry.

O: A good IPA. Not as good as I've heard but still very drinkable. Nicely blended malt and hop flavors.

A) Pours with a nice active head then settles just a bit. Has sticky, big bubble lacing. Copper in color. Visible carbonation. Transparent.
S) Citrus - sweet orange. Just a bit of caramel notes.
T) Malt and hops are balanced well. Starts with a sweet nose, just a bit of caramel. Then transitions to the hops - citrus notes. Orange. Grapefruit. A bit of apricot. Ends with a hop bite and lingering earthiness in the aftertaste.
M) Medium body. Smooth. Some CO2 fizz, but not too much. Some tannin feel.
D) A delicious IPA. Well balanced. True to form. Pour me another!

Pours golden yellow color with a large bone white head that left some nice rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma is straight up grapefruit. I can't believe how much grapefruit is in this beer. Rivals Two Hearted! Also picking up pale sweet malts in the background, but not much. This thing is hop-centric. Flavor follows the nose endlessly. Lots of grapefruit, plenty of pine, juicy, tropical, and herbal, an almost minty-like finish, dry, crisp. Again, this one is all about the hops, but I'm not finding it ridiculously over-bitter. Just a nice hop flavor that doesn't really need to be balanced by any more malt. I hate to say it, but I'm actually glad the caramel malts have been restrained in this brew. Medium body, carbonation is light but tight. Good stuff here. I could drink several of these in one sitting, which I can't do much with IPAs these days. So I've now had 4 different beers from Odell (didn't review the St Lupulin) and all were very solid. Looking forward to trying more from this brewery!

12 oz bottle poured into an imperial pint glass. Moderate egg-shell white head stands a fingers width. Nice spider-web lacing left on the glass. Color is a hazy golden amber.

Smell has a citric floral aroma blunted by a honey malt backbone. Taste is a combination of citric flavors. Lime, lemon, grapefruit, tangerines. Sweet malty flavors balance with some peppery spices.

Mouthfeel is slick and slightly oily. Nice carbonation bite. Nice IA, I don't feel a 7% at all.

Poured into pint glass at 45 degrees.

Appearance: A one finger head that is creamy and foamy that is off white in color. The color of the beer is a coppery orange with reddish hues. The clarity of the beer is clear with some carbonation bubbles. The head left a little lacing on the glass.

Nose: Ah simcoe hops such an aggressive hop profile. Grapefruit, pine, floral bouquet. The malt is toasty with a note of bread and caramel. Other aromas is a touch of solvent and resin.

Taste: A grapefruity, pine, resin, and floral bouquet. The malt is toasty with a note of bread and caramel. Other flavors are yeast and a touch of solvent.

The mouth feel is astringent, coating, and, slightly carbonated.

Overall: The body of the beer is medium and the finish is full. This is such a good IPA, wonderful flavors. This is a good IPA, would love to try their DIPA.

This is my latest staple beer. I tried it on recommendation from a friend who moved to Ft. Collins recently from the Chicago area. As a former Alpha King and Gumballhead slave, I took his word that this one was definitely worth trying, and now that I can not get either of the aforementioned beers in my area, I was inclined to try it for my hop fix in place of my usual Titan IPA (Three Floyds may be out of the question for me now, but since moving to the Omaha area, my selection of hoppy beers has definitely improved). Anyway... I was very pleasantly surprised by this. Every other Odell beer I have had was simply good, but not outstanding, which is why I may have been a little apprehensive in picking this up. I am very glad I did, however.

The beer pours to a light golden color with excellent clarity. It has a steady stream of carbonation that feeds a very nice head, which stands at a healthy inch and maintains itself very well. The head never once fell to a thin film. Lacing is quite good as well.

The smell is very good, but not quite as potent as the flavor. The hops are not surprisingly the highlight of this IPA, providing a rich floral and citric bouquet. Underlying the hops is a fairly clean pale malt profile. Not much in the way of caramel malts or other specialty malt, but that is really not a big problem when I have a sickness and the only cure is more hops.

The taste is where this beer really shines. If hops were a fruit, this is the juice you would be left with if you ran them through a food processor. Tastes like Amarillo or Simcoe. Mostly citric and floral. Just the right amount of bitterness and balancing malt character. Not completely one dimensional, but by that same token, it is not lame either.

The body is medium with a nice crackling carbonation to help bring out the bitterness. Only a slight alcohol flavor prevents this from getting a perfect 5 in the drinkability category. Otherwise, well played, Odell. I'll be hearing from you again shortly.

A: Medium to light gold in color, patches of frothy foam, crystal clear, some resiny lines along the edge of the glass - 4.25, S: Pine really is the dominate smell, a touch of freshly cut grass - 4.25, T: Lots of hop bite as well as some pine and grapefruit zest, slight caramel flavors on the tongue - 4.00, M: Lacks carbonation which gives it a slightly watery feel - 3.25, D: A very pleasing IPA, quite traditional and one I'd glad drink again - 4.00

"122707"

a: Golden orange, slightly cloudy, head dissipates quickly, but some lacing remains.

s: The aroma of fresh grapefruit has never been more present in a beer I have consumed. The hops give off floral and pine scents as well, but to a much lesser extent.

t: Oily hops, then slightly sweet malt, and then a grapefruity hop finish.

m: Sticky, appropriate carbonation, medium body.

d: Hard to believe its 7%, very drinkable, an IPA session beer, if its possible. I have been a fan of odell since I first tried 90 schilling and cutthroat porter, so when I first saw this in the store, I figured it would be good and paid $9.99 for the 6 without much debate. But, it blew me away, I think this is the best beer Odell makes and it is one of my favorite American IPAs. Highly hoppy, yet not too bitter, excellent aroma, a great brew.

Poured into fluted pint glass, nice white head but dissipates quickly laces a bit on the glass; great pale gold to copper color.

Smell is big hop front, notes of pine, lightly resiny; followed by light biscuit malt.

Taste is a good bitter mouth clinging hop front, taste of citrus and pine with a bit of biscuity malt.

Mouthfeel is a touch bitter, sits on the tongue strongly, decent carbonation.

Very drinkable IPA flavors are all right and just the right drinkablilty.
