This one is interesting, but pretty good. The nose is fairly strong with grapefruit and a bit of pine. The taste is very balanced with malt and hops. The bitterness is honestly not that high. It's there, but unlike many other IPAs where you can really detect that bitterness up front. The hop taste is pretty nice. The best I can describe it as is juicy. A juicy flavor. It's not my favorite, but it is still very delicious. The taste of malt and hops lingers in your mouth longer than other IPAs I've had. The mouthfeel is medium and wet. The only thing I would like more from this beer is a little more bittering hops. If they bumped it to 70 ibu instead of the original 60, it would be perfect for me. But that is simply my preference. Overall, this is a great beer. It is not a hop monster like some others are. But I would definitely drink it again. And I will. Probably tomorrow.

12 oz bottle. Pours clear medium gold, thick foamy head with very good retention, gobs of lace. Aroma is mild citrus and pale malt. Nicely balanced IPA leaning to bitter side. The taste has a light cracker malt sweetness with mild citrus up front. The hops are piney and grassy and linger just the right amount. Clean semi-dry finish. Medium soft mouthfeel. Haven't had this one in a while, very well done IPA, good change up from the juice bombs, very easy drinking.

Look: very clear golden color. Nice white head that dissipates quickly. Nice lacing on the glass.

Smell: Lots of citrus some grapefruit and lemon. Some malt in the background.

Taste: Pretty similar to the smell, lots of citrus with some malt to balance it. Nice bitterness.

Feel: Medium mouthfeel body and carbonation.

Overall: A really nice easy to find IPA.

This fine beer has a light amber body with a foamy and fluffy, semi-off-white head. I hope you know what I mean. The sticky foam appears sea-foam like against the sides of my wife's tulip and is unique and also attractive. There is a tiny touch of malt and some light orange dankness in the hop aroma. The smell is laid back and dialed down a bit for such a highly regarded beer. Wow, what a taste. Honey dew melon with light citrus and pine. I just had a Wet before this, and upon initial sip, this has a better taste. After additional sips, I realize this does not hold up. Not as complex, but very good. Medium to lighter-medium body, medium carbonation, minimal lather.

A great price for a nice amount of goodness in a bottle.

One of my top favorite IPAs of all time. I would say the aroma is nice not too different from a standard IPA. But the taste is what really sets this one apart. It's clean and crisp. And the bottle artwork is pretty neat too. Over all I would definitely recommend this to a friend and I will be buying it again soon.

Fluffy head and excellent lacing. Slightly cloudy appearance, somewhere between straw and golden. Very well balanced. Hop character both bitter and aromatic. A winner overall, and stands up to the ratings.

Poured cold into a tulip glass; based on the BB date I think it was bottled about 2 months ago.
Look = 4.5 Pours a golden straw into a vibrant orange with 2.5 fingers of just off white head; frothy head with great retention and sticky, webby, lace.
Aroma = 4.0 Nice tapestry of hoppy aromas, tropical fruits, citrus and light grassy notes with an underlying cracker and bready sweetness.
Taste = 4.0 Hop forward but more balanced than the nose; tropical fruit and citrus flavors balanced with a sweeter middle of bready malt and a moderately bitter finish.
Feel = 4.0 Medium bodied with medium carbonation, some fizziness, a light syrupy quality to it
Drinkability = 4.25 Nice drinkable IPA.
Overall = 4.1 Well made, solid, all around IPA

This is the face of the Colorado IPA - Yes, Comrade has put out an amazing west-coast style IPA this has all the buzz - but this is what I think of when I think Colorado IPA. Everything about it tells you that you are about to have and orange, citrusy delight. Pours a clear orange with a sticky head that leaves lacing. Huge aroma of sweet orange and grapefruit and you get a big whiff from the pour. It really lets you know it is generously hopped (and dry hopped( even before you get your nose to it. Taste follows nose with citrus, and floral notes on a layer of semi-sweet malt. It has a very clean malt-bill leaving the hops to be the main star. Light-medium mouthfeel with great carbonation. Very easy to drink with hardly any bitterness left on the tongue. This beer is incredible because you get so much hop aroma and flavor with relatively low bitterness. I like bitter beers but this allows the hops to shine without being drowned out by excessive bitterness. Top notch IPA from a state that doesn't get a lot of IPA love and recognition. Top 3 Colorado IPA's for me (Modus and Superpower being the other 2).

Picked up a bottle while traveling through Wichita, Kansas. Sure glad I did.

Pours a translucent bronze/gold with 2 finger fluffy white head. Nice lacing. Strong carbonation is apparent.

Nose is terrific. Tons of Oranges and Hops. Dank resinous aroma.

Taste matches the nose. First come oranges and melons. Then wonderful fresh-piney hops. The malts and resin complete the well roundedness of the taste.

Medium bodied with strong carbonation.

Fantastic beer! Expectations were high with this having a glowing reputation from my friends living in Colorado. Completely lived up to expectation. Wish I had bought more.

This is a very simple but delicious IPA. It pours a beautiful golden amber color with a nice, clean white head that has great retention. The flavor is very well balanced with nice hoppiness on the finish.

A great beer! Pours a beautiful clear orange gold color with a very nice creamy head. Excellent lacing throughout drinking the beer. This seems to be a hallmark of O'dell beers. Wonderful satisfyingly taste. This is one of the very best IPA available in wide, year round distribution.

BB date of 12/12/15. Pours a nice filtered amber color. I don't find this strikingly hop forward like West Coast IPAs but definitely a solid IPA. Aroma of pine and citrus with a similar taste except I pick up add'n hints of fruit like peach and maybe mango. This beer improves as it warms up. Its well balanced and not overly bitter or sweet.

The quintessential IPA. Very citrus forward, easy drinking beer without being overly boozy. My personal favorite IPA that is on the market today. Ride that elephant!!

Pours a nice goldfish amber filtered and looking good. Nice head with great retention and lacing. It has a nice light peachy orange smell that is mellow but there. Taste is of sweet fruit, mellow peach and some sweet melon. The malt is there and balances quite well, I taste a touch of wheat as well. Finish is slight bitterness with a grapefruit pithy finish. Nicely carbonated, smooth mouth feel for the style, very enjoyable.

Excellent, workhorse IPA with a nice, pungent hop nose, a dollop of citrus too, and a nice, piney bitter palate with enough malt sweetness to tie everything together. Workhorse indeed.

Serving: 12 oz bottle (marked "11/5/15B"), poured into an IPA glass.

Appearance: Bright, clear gold capped by a tall head of frothy white foam. Leaves nice, lush lace.

Smell: Resin, oranges, herbs.

Taste: Balanced malt base without much sweetness; earth, mild citrus, mint. Finished clean and dry.

Mouthfeel: Medium body, slight oily feel, moderate carbonation.

Overall: Solid IPA; not quite as big as a West Coast, but flavorful and balanced.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle. Slightly hazy orange color with a smallish white head. Smell is overwhelming fruitiness, heavy on the grapefruit. Taste is a mix of tropical fruit and some bitterness on the finish -- not overpowering. Nice IPA.

First had poured from 12-oz. bottle, stamped "7/2/15B," into tulip. Odell IPA, a standard-bearer when released, is now a classic and holding up very well.

Beer improves with warming. I'm a fan of the more balanced brews and while the aroma here is suggestive of that, the rest doesn't quite follow through. Flavor leans bitter and finish continues with that. Very easy drinking brew. I'm looking forward to more.

Poured into a tulip glass a uninviting straw-piss colour... alas, the disappointment ends there! Aroma opens with a slight pine scent and a the scent of fresh hoppy goodness :) .... has a very good amount of hop character and a Pine-citrus finish.... THIS ONE IS A MUST TRY!!
